I purchased this one to replace a "used" one that stopped 1 hr into the movie. My husband has played several musical instruments since a young child, was in high school band, a music major and a musician to this date. I loved playing classical music in high school band and still enjoy listening to it today. Mozart's compositions are some of my favorites. This movie showed me the life of Mozart. Even my husband learned a few things. Anyone interested in Mozart should see this one! Research says much of the story(important details) in this movie are true. This is one I will watch again throughout my life! Note: It's 1 DVD. 1/2 movie on one side and the other on the flip side.

Love this movie from so long ago! DVD is double sided, which we were surprised by. Nothing on the packaging says anything about that.

Amadeus is such a joy to watch, I've been looking for this movie for a long time and am very happy Best Buy carries it at a very competitive price, academy award winner for best movie in 1985 finds Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as a very young and up-and-coming composer in the city of Vienna in 1781 he becomes court composer for Emperor Joseph II.

I love this movie. Tom Hulce and F. Murray Abraham are great in this picture. Best Buy needs to update the listing though, this is a rated R movie.

Although this is an older movie, it is still enjoyable. I was glad that it was available online since my daughter saw it in school and wanted to give it to her Dad for his birthday since he is a music teacher!

F. Murray Abraham is terrifyingly delightful in his scenes as an old man "confessing" that he "murdered" Mozart. Absolutely deserving of the Oscar that he won.

This movie came out in 1984. It is timeless. This is my second copy since I forgot I already had one. I am keeping this better copy and I would advise all movies, lovers, to buy this.

Loved this movie from the get-go! Great acting, music and very funny at times. Especially entertaining on my 7.1 surround sound and my Sony Bravia 42 inch LCD Digital Color TV.

One of the best movies out there, I had this on VHS and had to buy it on DVD, it adds some scenes originally cut the from the movie shown in theaters.

Bought this as a gift. Great classic movie! Makes a great stocking stuffer for classical music lovers!

One of my favorite movies of all time. Watched it in theaters when it came out, three times! So happy it's available on bluray. Such a great movie and this edition is superb.

I really did enjoy this film and loved all the features of classical music from the period and the story was one to truly behold and be fascinated with.

Beauty of the film really comes out in the disc. The music especially is just incredible for semi obvious reasons.
