Easy to use, clear, slim, and can add more memory.

Have had no experience with any instrument like this except my regular computer. But I have self-taught myself to use it and love it very much. It meets all the things i wanted it for. Glad I bought it.

I really like the Fire HD8 overall. I find it somewhat hard to get the icons to come up when you swipe the screen, however. The camera takes good pictures and the apps are numerous. It is less cumbersome than my original "Fire".

I bought this as a gift for my wife. I had a gen 1 Fire and am using last year's 8.9HDX. My wife had been using the old gen 1 until it stopped taking a charge (a known defect for that model which Amazon chooses to ignore). This unit has a great display that is bight, sharp, and colorful. Amazon has elongated the length, or shortened the width if you prefer, changing the aspect ratio by about 10%. I really don't care for the tall, skinny screen, but that's a personal choice. One nice feature is that they have gotten rid of the carousal. That has been nothing but a BIG annoying "feature" on previous models of the Fire. Changes: Live video help has gone bye-bye. Navigation icons have been changed requiring new learning, The black on white text is a little grey on white, but very readable. And, of course, the aspect ratio. On the plus side, the unit is faster, brighter, and displays more vibrant colors. This is a fast, reliable tablet that my wife really enjoys. Two improvements I'd like to see brought to the Kindle Fire are: 1) SD slot and 2) a better camera.

I have purchased four kindle fires from best buy one for me and three for family members.They are the most amazing tablet you will ever own If you like reading,they have hundreds of books to choose from. All types of games to keep you entertained also facebook and internet,and much more!

My wife loves this. The things offered for this brand for free are a great thing. It has a lot of memory. She is so happy with it. She can't find one thing wrong with this, and that's a good thing.

This is my fourth kindle since I first started with the kindle keyboard. The newly redesigned kindle (fire) 8 is thinner and more like a tablet. I'm really happy with it after I got used to all the changes :)

I normally purchase only Apple products but gave this a try because the price was great. I really like this tablet and so far I am able to get all the apps I have on my iphone. Great tablet!

I got this for my technophobe wife and she is enjoying watching movies and playing games on it. She set it up herself and hasn't had any problems. The only downside is limited memory, but that is easily solved by adding a SD card.

The fire HD-8 16gb is a fantastic replacement for my laptop. The things I used it most often for are easily handled by the kindle. Not to mention the fact that I always have a book on hand. It has made reading more enjoyable.

Kids love all the game apps and since we also purchased the Kindle Fire Stick, the entire family watches more Prime movies. This Kindle Fire has a larger screen than our first Kindle so the kids love to play games on it.

I love the fire hd 8". I Skype with my kids and grandkids. It has so many features I really enjoy. Games, books, app's Skype camera. It's a hand held computer that is easy to figure out how it all works! A lot of fun!

Easy to navigate. Great graphics. Interfaces nicley with a generic bluetooth capable keyboard. Perfect for doing class work and other projects when I am traveling.

I purchased this tablet for my 8 year old daughter and it is great so far. She can easily navigate it and loves it even though she wanted an Ipad. This was just right given cost, screen size, and memory.

I am enjoying the features of this Fire HD8. I have enjoyed reading my numerous books that have been downloaded to this Fire HD8. This Fire HD8 is very easy to take with me. It fits easily in my purse.

I don't expect much from Tablets except that they work. I believe the Fire's Visual Display is very good. It is clear and easy to navigate and provides several options to make it as user friendly as possible.

Bought this for my grand mother and she now uses it non stop - she doesn't have a smart phone and just learned how to operate a computer and this device seems to be very user friendly for her

This is a great tablet if you are primarily going to use it for social media and to enjoy Amazon content. Good value. I like that it is large enough to watch movies on but small enough to hold in my hand.
