Wonderful product works good, battery life keeps for awhile

My wife is an avid reader and even though she loves to hold an actual book in her hands, she was an early adopter of the Kindle. She has had her original for a LONG time and since she was constantly complaining about the download speeds, I convinced her it was time to upgrade. She decided on the Oasis and she is very happy with it. It is lightweight and a very solid device. It is also very easy to read in all lighting conditions. It may be a little bit more expensive than some other models, but it is worth it.

I loved all the features don’t get me wrong, I can read anywhere at any time without a glare and the battery lasts but I had already paid a generous amount for it and even then I still had to pay to Buy the books that were almost as much as the monthly membership itself! I understand the authors benefit from it but thats almost $350 out of my pocket to read the One book I really want to read. I wanted the kindle to save me space from all the books I impulsively buy and take them on the go with me, but it is way too much money, unfortunately

I broke the first one and got a new one under Best Buy replacement warranty. Waterproof and long battery life!

Yes it’s the best E-reader available but is it really worth 2.5x the price of the Paperwhite? If you want the best or just have the money to burn go for the Oasis otherwise you’d be perfectly happy with the Paperwhite.

I wasn't sure if I was going to keep this, but it won me over. Good to read in bed, in a bath, etc. I restarted my reading habit!

Purchased this for the wifes bday! She uses it none stop! The battery lasts her hours and days without needing a charge, though I plug it in while she sleeps to have her busy when she wants to read! No complaints and no bugs! Would definitely recommend it to others!

Love it. Many have complained about battery life but I actually don’t mind it. I do most of my browsing on my phone or computer and the device is specifically for reading. So far it’s lasted me about a week with heavy usage (like reading more than 10 chapters on high brightness and warmth). I love the page turn buttons and the ability to disable the touchscreen so I can hold it better without touching to turn on accident. Was going to go for the paper white but glad I chose the Oasis. Hopefully Amazon upgrades it and I can trade in. I love physical books but hate storing them because I never have space nor do I ever rarely re-read some books. This device is a game changer and makes more excited to read more books.

I've had the Oasis for a little over a year now. It definetly does what the paperwhite does, but better regarding the screen and eye strain. It does seem like the battery doesn't last quite as long, but I can't really give any definitive numbers - it just feels a little shorter. The form factor is going to be a love it or hate it situation - I personally like it. My only wish for this device is that it could fit into my pocket a little easier like my old paperwhite did. Is the price worth it? It depends. A Honda Civic will get you to the grocery store all the same as a Corvette - the 'luxury' features of the device are nice, but in no way needed, so it's really up to you and your finances.

I purchased this for a gift for a friend. She had a old one, she loved it easy to use and light weight.

I love this kindle. I received it for my birthday from my husband. We sit on the deck and read a lot and this works perfect. It adjusts to the light as needed and the placement of the page turning buttons is in just the right place.

She loves it, uses it every night. Paired this with a bath pillow and I won Christmas this year

Awesome e reader for my wife. Upgraded from a 2017 model. Checks all the boxes. Better screen Better materials Backlit and color control for night reading. More comfortable. If you want the best and can afford it, go for it.
