On the other hand, this particular model was too small in screen size. Not a lot of text fits on the screen. Also I find the screen refresh on the page turn annoying. I prefer a tablet in both these aspects.

Works fine, too many ads

The problem is that we bought a model "with offers" or some such wording. That means that every time we turn it on (like after it times out when we answer the phone) we get a new set of commercials to watch while "it prepares to turn on". Darned annoying. We asked the salesperson what "with offers" meant and he didn't know.

It serves it purpose

It has shut down randomly. This isn't the best Kindle I have owned yet with a low expectation, to begin with, I have accepted this as an average eReader. As I said, it serves its purpose. I am happy with it but not overwhelmed.
