I am not able to get my books downloaded from Amazon.

Thin and sleek which I like.. Some glitches. its stuck indexing longer than the typical kindle and the contrast fades then goes back to normal back and forth. It freezes a lot as well which never happened to me before. I also like the extra storage. I wish bestbuy had the 32gb model in store

I really enjoy this kindle. It’s nice and compact. I like that there are so many free books to read on Amazon prime. I would only purchase if it was on sale

I upgraded from the Kindle Keyboard that I'd had since highschool, and the difference is like night and day! The words are significantly clearer. I disliked reading on my old Kindle because the text was somewhat grainy, but the paperwhite is sharper than text on paper. The device is small and light enough that you can read comfortably for long periods of time. Other reviewers noted that the power button was inconveniently placed, but I haven't had any issues with that so far. I do think this device, at $129, is at the high end of where it should be. It is, after all, an e-reader. The technology has not been significantly improved since the paperwhite's inception, but the cost doesn't reflect that. Overall, if you have an older Kindle that's on its last leg and want to upgrade, this is a great device. If your older Kindle still works well enough for you, I wouldn't spend the money to upgrade (especially if you have a device with the same screen resolution).

Great device - well worth the price over the basic. The better screen (more pixels, clearer text), brighter backlight, waterproofing, it all makes this device well worth 40 dollars over the basic. Save yourself the time and just buy it. You won't regret it.

Compared to the newer cheaper Kindle, which also includes a backlight, this is a far better deal. Higher resolution, waterproofing, and a flush screen that does not allow dust and dirt to collect as easily make this the best value e-reader for most people.

I bought a Kindle paperwhite when they first came out four years ago. Since then, I read an average of one book per month. Really enjoyed using the paperwite in different lighting conditions, Both at home and on vacations. This new paperwhite makes it much easier to change the brightness level. It is also much faster when it comes to choosing which book to read. One of the best features, is that it tells you when it's waking up and ready for you to swipe the screen to come on. The text is much sharper. The lighting is also more even. I would highly recommend this for anyone interested in an e-reader, even if you already have one. It's lightweight and the battery lasts seemingly forever.

The newest kindle paperwhite is the best so far. If you are looking to upgrade an older Kindle- go for this one! You can adjust the font to bold and pick the font style and screen brightness to suit anyones style. I recommend this version of Kindle to everyone.

I got it after seeing some people on a vacation using it in a lazy river since its waterproof. That is nice and all, but I read before bed and notice that this doesn't seem to affect me the way my other tablet did. Also great form factor for reading.

This is my first ebook and while it took time getting use to because it’s not any paper to touch, I decided I like it. Easier to carry around with whatever size book you could be reading and it fits in my most small bags! The screen looks like paper.

The gold standard for e-readers. Easy to adjust, Kindle is the best ecosystem from a store POV

The included USB does not fit, didn't force it and used another one. Amazon customer service chat advised me to order a new one and the price would be credited to my account once shipped. Too much trouble so I dropped the issue. Other than the cable the device is great.
