This is my 4th Kindle and I love how lightweight it is. I love that you can read in sunlight or darkness and adjust the font if you dont have your glasses on!

Perfect new Paperwhite. I own the generation just prior to this new one and wasn't sure I would like the new one. I was wrong. The size is perfect. They added a couple more lights, so the screen is really evenly lit. The flat bezel also looks and feels nice. The single button is flatter and smaller so it is less likely to press if you ever hold it at the bottom like I sometimes do. Overall, not a brand new remodel, just an upgrade with thoughtful design changes. Too bad it was a gift for my wife and not for me!

I have enjoyed the kindle E-reader line as a nice way to read books when traveling. I do enjoy a good physical book at home, but sometimes it's just more convenient to bring the kindle. My last Kindle was a 4th gen kindle (No back-lighting and it had physical face buttons) Jumping onboard to the paperwhite was a night and day difference for me. Having the backlight is an awesome benefit to the reader, and makes taking it on the go a no brainier for me. The device just works for me, and for what I wanted in an E-Reader.

One of my friends had a kindle paperwhite and I asked her to check it out. I knew I needed one after I saw how simple it was and easy to use. I’ve had it for about a month and no regrets. It’s very easy to navigate and read. I like that I can look up definitions for words on the spot and it keeps my bookmark. I love holding a book and reading but I ran out of space for them and the paperwhite makes it easy to check out digital copies from the library and read at night with the backlight!

I purchased this reader after getting my first one wet, it died. So relieved that this Kindle is waterproof. It’s the perfect size and easiest to navigate. I love it.

I was reading books on my iPad but this device is much lighter and easier to handle. The text is easy to see, and the battery life is much better than a tablet.

Bought it as a present for someone. They love it. They use it all the time. Its light, simple to use, and has decent amount of storage.

This is my third Kindle reader and second Paperwhite. The Paperwhite reader is excellent outside as well as in bed with no other lighting on. Battery life is great as I read a lot and only have to recharge about once a week. Great to load up on 5 or 6 books for a trip and not have them take up the physical space. My only gripe is they seem to last me only about 18 months of careful use before they stop charging. I tried switching to a Kindle Fire which is half the price but the screen is much harder to see in sunlight, so back to the Paperwhite.

This kindle is slimmer and lighter than the previous version. It is bright and easy to read.

I am an avid reader and adore the new paperwhite! To me, it’s the perfect reader. No light bleed thru, easy to control the amount of backlight, easy to download books and simply just easy to read my books. It did not come with the very latest software uploaded but within 24 hours of being connected to my WiFi, the kindle updated itself. Honestly, I’ve never purchased a smart phone that didn’t need an update within minutes of activation...Android or Apple.

Wonderful eReader! Better on my eyes than my phone when I'm doing lots of reading. Really like that's waterproof now. Holds lots of books!

Love it! Just the right size. Screen is easy to read. Long battery life. Fits in my purse and I can take it everywhere.

I like it because I can read at night in bed. I can store more books on it. It is waterproof. It’s just the right size. It’s really nice.

The kindle paperwhite is a must buy. If you love to read without any distractions from notifications etc. It is very portable, lightweight and even fits in the pocket of my scrubs and certain jeans. It is very easy on the eyes and perfect for reading in bed or on the go. It is also very easy to hold but i added a phone grip to the back and made it even easier. This version is also waterproof.

Kindle 8GB is easy to use, long battery life, lightweight, and easy to carry.

Like the flush screen in this model. Having the Bluetooth capability for audiobooks is nice. Love that it's waterproof. Nice to be able to take books anywhere. Find myself reading more.

I held off on buying one these as I was using my tablet with the kindle app. Problem was the battery would die by the end of the day and it was hard to see in bright light. I was going to the beach for a few days and wanted to be able to read in the bright sun so I bit the bullet and bought this. Should have done it a while ago! Easy to read in any light, light to hold, and the battery goes strong for weeks. If you like to read just buy it and be done with it. You'll love it!

Love my new Kindle! I have never owned one before. I'm glad I got this now (during this awful coronavirus outbreak). I can't go to the library and get books out. I can get library books on this! Plus I get a free book to choose every month from Amazon. And I can make the font as big as I like. My old, tires eyes can't read that small font anymore in some books I'd like to read. The battery life holds up well and if I fall asleep reading, so does this!
