The Kindle Paperwhite 3G has everything I need in an ereader. The adjustable back light, 3G and WIFI, and non glare screen are exceptional. It is light weight, easy to use, and I can organize my books on it.

This Paperwhite replaced my wife's 10 year old Kindle that finally bit the dust. She actually took my 10 year old Kindle that was still working since she does not like to update to new product unless absolutely necessary. I tried the Kindle Fire to start with since it had so many extras on it. However I discovered right fast like that it is more for the fancy movies and gaming than for reading, to bad. The glare from the screen was horrible if you were in any amount of sun or a glare situation. So I exchanged the fire for the Paperwhite. And yes it works like a reader should work. The screen is much clearer than our older Kindles. I definitely wanted one with Wi-Fi and 3G service since Wi-Fi isn't always available. The reason for a 4 star rating is battery life is not weeks as advertised unless maybe you do not turn it on. If I read 2 to 3 hours a day I may get 4 to 5 days out of it. No big deal really but not what I was led to believe. I have tried turning the background lighting completely off and also placing it in airplane mode to see if it would help battery life to no avail. I still love it though.

i purchased before a hospital stay, backlighting and manageable size make it easy to use laying on your back in the semi dark of night. Ordering books to read from Amazon and other sources is very easy even for us old folks that aren't so called computer illiterate.

I thought I would miss holding a book in my hand. I was wrong. I can enlarge the print and reading has never been easier. I can adjust it to all lighting conditions and it is user friendly. I love it!

I had the original Kindle with 3G. It was okay for daytime reading, but I always needed a clip on light at night. The Kindle Paperwhite allows me to read anywhere day or night with great clarity. I especially like it's small size that easily slips inside my purse or tote. Plus it's a lot lighter in weight.

I bought this as a gift for one of my siblings, they already had and iPad but noted that the glossy bright screen made their eyes strain and just wasn't pleasant as reading a book. So I went with the Paperwhite over the newer Voyage version. After looking at a couple online reviews & videos demoing pros and cons of the two, I felt the cost difference was not worth the extra $100. The voyage does have a bit higher resolution with tactile buttons on the side to flip pages, but they are set at somewhat of a odd position not naturally to where your thumbs are place while reading. But if youre all about the latest and greatest, by all means. Can't go wrong with the paperwhite in my book, i mean Kindle of course!

I bought this new Paperwhite Kindle mostly because I wanted one similar to the Nook Simple Glowlight that I already had - the included light option is perfect for reading in bed at night. I had had a Kindle Keyboard for quite a few years but having to use an extra light was a hassle. The one thing that I did not like with this new Kindle was the fact that it did not automatically download my library once I registered it with Amazon - I had to manually download all my books (over 1400) from the Cloud to the actual device. Unlike my Nook which automatically synced my online library once I registered it. Other than that, its size and weight make it easy to carry around in my purse, although I find that the battery life is not anywhere close to what is advertised (I think that battery life statement may be based on someone reading maybe half an hour at a time once a day - which is not me at all!) All in all, it's a step up from my old Kindle and I am glad I bought it.

The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite High Resolution is really easy to set up, and then easy to use to read from. I love the backlight. That makes it really easy to read when there is no light in a room....

The Paper White is wonderful. It is very light weight, easy to hold & read even in direct sunlight. I love it!

This product is Awesome! I love it! I use it everyday as my wind-down. Backlight is convenient. Very easy to use. Just wish there were more case options.

I recently gave my Kindle 2 3G to my elderly mother so I purchased the new Kindle Paperwhite Wi-Fi + 3G for myself. I have always loved Kindle and it is my number 1 reader. I have used iPad and Nook, but always go back to my Kindle. I love that Kindle is slim and lightweight. I love the built in light and of course the free 3G is awesome. I ride the Lightrail to and from work, so if I need to download a book, it's free and easy. Since I manage my old Kindle 2 that my mother has, it's so easy to order books for her and send them directly to her Kindle.

Lightweight for holding. Easy to navigate. Like it better than my original kindle fire

This is a great reader that comes with 3G. It makes it easy to access books anywhere - no planning ahead. The screen is easy to read and controls are easy to understand and use.

skip the voyager and buy the paperwhite. We love the paperwhite and bought it as an experiment....we were avid book readers and loved the phyiscal feel of an actual book. The Kindle did not disappoint. It is more portable and easy to read on. furthermore, we can check out ebooks from our library. This has given us options with our local library that we love. Highly recommend. Love it.

This product reinvigorated my interest in reading fiction. With a busy lifestyle, reading fiction has become a luxury. The portability of this kindle along with long battery life and ability to read in low light situations allowed me to read anytime when i had a free moment. It's a well-designed device.

I've been an iPad user for years and the size factor has taken some getting used to but once passed that - this is a great little eReader. It is very light, easy to read and so portable! I have to say I've also had to get used to turning pages much sooner than I would in a physical book. It is worth getting used to.

My husband loves it! It comes in really handy for him flying overseas and back home again. He actually reads books unlike the nook where he did play games

This is my first e-reader and I don't miss a book at all. I wanted a tablet that is easy on eyes in sunlight. It is great in any lighting.

This model has the same SPECS as the kindle paperwhite with additional 3G wireless connection. It's useful for people who travel overseas and need to use their 3G wireless connection for checking emails. The price is a little bit steep comparing to the striping down paperwhite model.

I love my new Kindle Paperwhite. It is easy to read, lightweight, and the easy to use features are a great upgrade from my Kindle that was over 3 years old.
