We have it outside so we can turn the patio light string on and off without going out to plug/unplug it like we used to do. It’s especially nice in the winter. We’ve decided we’re putting them everywhere!

They are not rated for exterior use but worked great anyway. I did wrap with electrical tap to avoid moisture entry. My 2 1/2 year old grandson loved being able to turn the lights on an off.

Better that traditional lighting timers

Originally bought them to run my Christmas lights. I had three different timers for my lights and could never get them to turn on or off at the same time. With these I set them to turn on at dusk and off at dawn.
