Overall this is a very good case/protection solution for the HDX. It is relatively lightweight and clings onto the kindle magnetically. The cover/foldable stand is tough enough to protect the screen and automatically turns the device on when it's opened. The back is a tough plastic that has the Amazon logo. All of the buttons and ports are still accessible. I bought this case when I bought the HDX and put it right into this case. If you take it out you will notice how very light and thin the HDX actually is by itself. Attaching this case does not make the device heavy but you will notice some added bulk relative to the very light device. Obviously any case/cover will do this, however it's a great trade-off as this case offers excellent protection and functionality.

Bought the Origami Case for my wife's Kindle Fire HDX. It provides good protection without adding a lot of extra weight or bulk. The automatic on/off feature is terrific. The case can be configured to stand the device in either a portrait or landscape mode. My wife loves it.

It's a cover for a Kindle, which is a pretty simple thing, right. I've had covers for other tablets, and I really like this one by comparison. The origami cover makes it a versatile stand, making reading or watching movies at a desk or table, or on a plane, much easier. Integration of the buttons (volume and power) is seamless - I had worried that they would be spotty or difficult to press. The charging port is perfectly accessible, and as you'd expect, closing the cover turns off the display. Aside from becoming slimmer, and a slight tilt when standing, it's hard to imagine a better cover.

high quality product and serves its purpose well. i particularly like the idea of the origami design and it perfectly fits my tablet. it would have been a five star rating if not for the price.

Tried several of the others and found that this one was the easiest to use and of course a perfect fit. The price is a little bit of a deterrent, being that it is nearly half as much as some other tablets.

So far this appears to be the best all around cover for the Kindle Fire HDX. The price was also a positive compared to other HDX covers. What I like is that it fits like a glove and keeps the tablet feeling small and light. The fact that the device starts up and shuts down as it is opened or closed is also a very cool feature. The magnetic attachment has so far been reliable and the stand feature is stable. I am really pleased with this purchase.

I couldn't be happier with my choice. The case fits perfectly leaving all buttons and ports accessible. It stays on magnetically, and it easy to get on and off if needed. The front cover activates the sleep/wake feature, so you don't need to use the power button. It's also slim and doesn't add much size or weight to the Kindle. The origami folding stand is clever and works well, though I usually just old mine.

This provides reasonable protection for my Kindle and is also a nice stand that is great for watching videos or reading books. Sometimes it struggles to sit straight in portrait view, but it has no trouble when used in landscape. This still allows access to the charging port and headphone jack as well as use of the power and volume buttons.

This product has been great from the day I purchased it to protect the Kindle Fire given to me for Christmas by my kids. Works well as a protective cover and as a reading stand, especially in bed. Like the way it turns the Kindle off when the cover is closed.

This case exceeded any expectations I had. It stays on magnetically, provides easy access to all necessary buttons on the sides and the charging port, without having to remove the case. It folds to support your Kindle in either portrait or landscape mode, and as soon as you close the cover, it puts your kindle to sleep, so no need to switch it off each time - just close the cover. It's left me wanting nothing more from a case. This one is perfect to me!

This item is a great add-on to the Kindle Fire. The Fire automatically turns off when the cover is closed, automatically turns on when the cover is opened, and does a great job to stand it up when you get tired of holding it.

I bought a Kindle Fire HDX and needed a protective cover for it. I researched online and learned about this origami cover. It's very unique in its design - it contains magnets that connect when the back of the cover is folded to completely support the Kindle for upright viewing, which is great. Works exactly as described. Only knock on it is the price - about a third of the cost of the Kindle. But it does work well - also automatically turns the Kindle off when you close the cover so your battery doesn't wear down.

Had originally purchased a different cover that was on sale but had to return it because it had a strange odor. This new cover is odor free, fits perfectly and give good protection.

I bought this Origami case for my daughter's Kindle Fire HDX 7" and she loves it! It looks cool (she particularly liked the origami design) and it was easy for her to put the Kindle into it. It folds back nicely when she is using the Kindle, not bulky. And although she normally doesn't close doors, dresser drawers, closet doors, etc., I've noticed that when she is not using the Kindle that she actually closes this case!

My son really needed a case for his Kindle. This case really does the trick. The design helps him set it up anyway he likes. Easy for him to use.

Light weight cover for my Kindle-love it! Stand is easy to use and cover is easy to keep clean.

This case is really nice. It's magnetic and simple to use. When I open the case my kindle turns on and when I close it the kindle turns off. My biggest concern is since it's magnetic, will it affect anything near it especially credit cards. I'm not about to try it on my own cards but would like to know the answer. I keep it away from my wallet but my wife carries hers in her purse with no negative effects.
