    I'm not really sure why I bought this. I didn't "need" it, just wanted to see if it improved my already acceptable wi-fi connection. I would say that it does perform noticeably better. A snap to hook up.

    This signal booster antenna from Amped Wireless works great. Not only do I have a strong signal throughout my house, I am now able to pick up a strong signal outside the house. I even extended my wireless network to an auxiliary building next to my house (over 75 feet away from the main house). I added a Linksys range extender to that building and now the whole auxiliary building also has a strong signal.

    I don't know the power of my router/wifi so I don't know how much stronger the signal is than the router. I get 1 more bar of strength where I usually use my tablet. It seems to give 2 bars at about 80 feet.

    Amped Wireless does make good products. This specific booster seemed to be considered universal and plug n play; but was not compatible with my netgear router. Thus I returned it to BB however, BB did not have stock for the Wireless Signal Extender (also by Amped Wireless) and I had to order through another company. Just fyi I would get the Wireless Signal Extender before considering the hardwired solution of this product.

    I was unable to use this product with the router that I had. It required removal of the antenna from the router and replacing it with the new antenna. The router I have does not have an antenna.

    I love this antenna. It provides strong signal to the rest of my house and I get full signal everywhere now. Another great thing about this product is that is does not throttle the actual speed which some other products seem to do. The only down side is that it is not very durable around little kids. My 2 year old ripped it apart in a matter of 5 min and I was unable to make it work again. Had to buy another one.
