This is a great product to have for those dark corners of your home or office that doesn't have the best of wifi signals. That spot for me is in the basement, because we have a cinderblock lined basement instead of the normal wooded framing. Yeah that's right. Big bad wolf just try to blow our house down. Anyway, as seen in the picture I've provided, (It only let me put one picture on) that spot in the basement which is right where the very comfortable chaise lounge sits has horrible connection speeds, so we don't even go there. Once I plugged in the Amped Wireless High Power Plug-In, I could get nice and comfortable on that chair that has been vacant for far too long. The download and upload speeds jumped way up, making the usual lag in that spot non existent. The setup was pretty simple, and the directions were very clear and easy to understand. Before you begin however, make sure you know your wireless passwords so you don't have to call your husband at work to get them. The process is relatively fast. There was about a three minute wait time to configure everything and then a couple of minutes for it to warm up before I was able to get the much higher connection speed readings. The outlet plug on the actual device is really nice to have, so it doesn't take up a spot on the wall that you need to plug something else in. In all, it's a great product to have to enhance your wifi experience in those spots that need it the most. Also, the before Speedtest- Ping 63ms Download 0.95 mbps Upload 0.39mbps compared to the after which is the only photo I could download on this site. I don't know about you, but that is aaamazing! I definitely recommend this wifi extender!

easy set-up. definitely extends the network over existing modem/router. however, definitely does not cover up to 10000sq ft as claimed. Our house is ~2400sq ft , majority on one level, and I have it located centrally. for some reason, in 1 room (where a laptop is about 20 ft from the extender) the signal is not any better than the modem. but for the rest of the house it is definitely stronger and the signal reached areas barely or not even reached by the modem/router.

It definitely extends the signal as it should. However I don't really see the speed. It works fairly well. I do get a good signal where there was really very little signal before. The set up is fairly easy and there are options for blocking and allowing and scheduling access if you have kids. It also has a guest option, which I haven't explored, for visitors. Its nice that it has a usb port for charging and doesn't block the outlet. It works well, but wish it would give me more speed. I can't be sure it's the fault of this product, more likely the internet provider, but wish I could get a bit more speed out of it. Over all a good device and would recommend it to others.

I placed this in the back bedroom of my house, which is the opposite side of where my router is. The signal is much stronger thanks to Amped. With dual band capabilities, it's nice to choose the best signal. The only thing I don't like and it's not the extender's fault, is I have to manually switch over to the Amped wifi extender when my signal gets weak. There is no auto select mode (not that I know of). Otherwise, it's a great item to have for those who have low wifi signals around your house. Definitely recommend it.

I am using this extender to expand the wifi to the back of my house. I placed it in my game room which has allowed me to use the ethernet port on the extender to bring internet to my bluray player (purchased from best buy but only has an ethernet port) and this placement has brought wifi to my back porch and yard which now allows for visitors to access my internet when I have parties/picnics. The set up was very easy and this extender was connected to my router without any issues. I use a Netgear router with Fios Internet service and this extender works well with both.

Installation was easy and it has definitely improved the WiFi in the house. Would imagine there are more powerful units but good for the price

The Wi-Fi extender is excellent. I can utilize the internet throughout my house. The unit performs as promised. The setup was a dream....the instructions were very clear and precise. I started the setup with trepidation due to my lack of computer savvy. The unit was so easy to setup and every thing followed the instructions sheet with out me having to guess what to do. Congratulations to the manufacturer for a superior experience.

Extender works as promised when using 2.4 but not as well at 5ghz. Very easy to setup nonetheless and does improve range as advertised.

This is a really great wifi extender. Literally one touch set up. Plug it into any wall outlet within range of your current wifi signal. And this extends the signal. I have a trailer 300 ft away from my house, and tried to get wifi over to it. Plugged this in an outlet on my outside covered deck, and pointed towards my trailer. Signal actually reached the outside of the trsiler just fine, but hard time penetrating the walls, so inside signal too weak, so ended up returning it. But very impressed with the range and ease of use.

My house is 2430 square feet on the first floor and the basement is the same size. Devices in the back bedrooms and far side of the basement only received one signal strength bar. I put this extender towards the end of the hall way up stairs. Devices receive a full signal on that side of the house up and down stairs now. It only took a couple minutes to set up. No physical installation - just stick it in the area plug you want. I put it on my guest access on my Linksys Router with the same password so guests could switch back and forth easier and the guest side cannot access my home network/private data. I did not install the additional monitoring software... its just an extender and the settings in the setup of the Amped Extender give access to any settings you might need to modify.

This Wi-Fi range extender worked better than I expected and worked on the first attempt. Signal was stronger beyond advertised range. It was easy to install.

I bought this extender mainly for it's dual band capabilities. It creates its own AP so you're not connected directly to your router, but through the extender itself. It's not the most stable connection. Admittedly, I am a network novice so I could have easily tweaked some settings within the extender to my liking if I had that expertise. I have a previous generation single-band 2.4Ghz extender that I used prior to purchasing the Amped Wireless AC1200 extender and, unfortunately, I have better stability with that one than I did this. Keep in mind that I used the Amped Wireless extender in the exact same location as my older single-band extender. In a brief conclusion, it's a decent extender but consider all of your options too.

This is my second extender and I'm so glad I did some research about extenders in general before buying this time. This is waaaay better than my previous extender and they were the same price! This one was on sale! One hint: at my Best Buy store, the best deals are not on the floor - look online first and order it that way, then pick it up at the store (or have it shipped).

This extended my wifi thru a brick outside wall to front porch. It did extend my wifi to my detached garage yet not as strong. It has aided access to two wifi security cameras. It worked as well with direct Ethernet cable or wifi only.

I purchased this on the device today Best Buy salesman. He stated it was easy to use and set up on the computer. He was right. The product is working very well without any significant Hang ups. I would definitely purchase again.

Good brand. Easy to use and fast it gives good signal

It does improve the connection at home. We had some "blind spots" for wi-fi that are now in range. End of paying extra usage of Mbites of data plan for streaming with the cell exactly at a former blind spot.

I like the features and appearance of the extender. It was rather simple to install by following the directions. It did address my dead zone issue, but I had to reposition it a few times.

AC1200 Range Extender has greatly improved connectivity for our numerous devices...4 phones, 3 laptops, 3 smart tv's and 2 IPads...easy setup...can now access wifi on the backyard patio..

It's not actually an amplifier as the name suggests. It creates another network which requires a separate login when you switch over to it so it's basically a repeater. If you plan to use this as a way to connect to your primary network while you move through your home this is not the tool for the job. If your looking to connect it to a stationary device like a desktop than this might work well for you. It works alright as a wireless connection, I have not used as a wired connection.
