The device was fairly easy to set up and says that all systems are set up right. Nonetheless, despite optimal positioning for extending my signal, I see absolutely no improvement in my speed, range, or connection reliability

It didn't really make much of a difference in our signal, which comes from a separate building.
We returned this item.

No range extension noticed.
Took 6 hours and 3 hours on the phone with the manufacturer before I gave up and returned it.

Read the other bad reviews. Everything listed happens to me. I could not have the signal up for more than a day. Spend your $$$ on something good.

Used this extender to pickup a signal in another room about 30 ft away and push the signal to a building with concrete wall about 30 feet away. With 5GHz, it was too weak, but 2.4GHz worked perfectly fine. Glad this worked since there was no cabling option with construction ongoing in the area.

Bought this extender but could not get it to create the extended network. Called tech support and they could not figure it out either. They had me exchange it for another one and it would not work either. Seems to be a compatibility issue with a Linksys router. Returned the second extender and bought a Linsys extender at half the cost that works great and took under a minute to set up.

Okay if you don't need security - maybe

As noted by other reviewers, this extender does not accept certain characters in the WiFi password. What is not noted is that the list of characters is not fully documented, so even support is not sure what they are. So, if you are using any special characters, just get something else. Of course, if you are not using special characters, you probably should not broadcast your signal too far anyway.
As far as the (unusable, at least for me) signal strength, it appears to be only slightly less powerful than my router, which means coverage should be decent.
On the plus side, support was easy to reach and helpful.
