If you're reading this review, that might mean there's a slight chance you haven't seen Anchorman. If not, stop reading this and go buy the Rich Mahogany edition now. Then, go home, watch it a dozen times in the next week, and report back. It has Anchorman, one of the funniest movies of all time, along with Wake Up, Ron Burgundy, an entirely new movie made up of alternate takes and unused footage, it includes entire plotlines absent from the regular movie, and a ridiculous amount of extras. Even if you've watched Anchorman 50 times and own the DVD, this blu-ray is worth a re-up, there's no just much besides the movie. It might even include

Hotshot television anchorman Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) welcomes upstart reporter Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) into the male-dominated world of 1970s broadcast news -- that is, until the talented female journalist begins to outshine Burgundy on air. Soon he grows jealous, begins a bitter feud with Veronica and eventually makes a vulgar slip on live TV that ruins his career. However, when an outrageous story breaks at the San Diego Zoo, Ron may get a chance to redeem himself.

I bought this edition years ago but for some reason I never realized it only had one disc so I had to reorder it and this time I got disc 2 with the insanely long version of the movie. Loved all three editions of Anchorman 2 and really wished this crazy team had gotten together one more time and done Anchorman 3!

This will go down as one of the all time great comedies of all time ever in the history of all time movie comedies of the century, ever. They've done studies on this movie you know. 60 percent of the time, it makes you laugh every time. Watch this movie and you won't be disappointed, its science. Not only would I recommend this to a friend, but I would recommend it to any random stranger in a review on a major retail website. That's how much I loved this movie.

I recently bought a blu-ray dvd of Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy *Rich Mahogany Edition specifically because it is blu-ray and has top quality sound and picture and more so over because it has an alternate version of the movie that I also had called "Wake-Up Ron Burgundy" that has quite a bit of the same footage but with so much deleted or unused footage they were able to make another movie out the extra stuff. I enjoyed the alternate version so much I thought it to be good and well worth it to re-purchase it on the blu-ray dvd format and packaged nicely in one dual disc packaging.

All Adam McKay and Will Ferrell team-ups (besides the flawless "The Other Guys") need multiple viewings to truly appreciate. You should keep that in mind if wish to purchase this if you have never seen it before. Otherwise, buy with confidence. All three versions of the film (truth be told , the "Director's Cut" only adds more F-Bombs and an unneeded scene) and some fun features are included. Also included is Ron Burgandy's datebook (with some hilarious notes and a few duds).

I have many copies of this movie but I didn't have this version. When I first got it I opened up the front holder that contained Ron's diary. As you read and flip through the diary you find out that every reference in the movie about his diary was true. This is a great addition to my movie collection.

I love Adam McKay's body of work (the director). He has a great, wacky sense of humor in all of his films. This one is a modern classic. Will Ferrell is amazing, as is the supporting cast. I remember this movie was the first time I saw Steve Carrell on screen. Pick this film up if you're looking for good, dumb fun.

"Wake Up, Ron Burgundy" isn't really a movie, so much as it is several side-plots and semi-improvised jokes that run on for waaaay too long, and probably would have been in the original movie, if nobody was worried about a three-and-a-half hour Will Ferrell movie.

This is a great movie if you're a fan of absurdist comedy. I was really excited to own it on blu-ray, and especially with all the extras of this "Rich Mahogany" Edition. I was pretty disappointed when I discovered that all the extra materials were contained in the most poorly conceived packaging concept I've seen in recent memory. There is a sleeve to accomodate the blu-ray jewel case, but it is too loose so the movie falls out easily. The bonus materials (the trading cards, and booklet of Ron Burgundy's "diary") are actually packaged in the sleeve also, which was poorly made and ripped as soon as I tried to open it. And by the way, the diary is funny, but it's not necessarily something I couldn't do without. As a collector this is still a great addition to my home video library, and I do still recommend it for the contents of the disc itself. The special features are great as well! I just wish someone would have cared enough to design a package that was worthy of its contents instead of piecing something together on the quick to take advantage of the sequel release in theaters.

Hilarious movie, 2 blu-ray discs, good selection of extras, funny commentary. What more do you want for $5.99. Buy it! (if you don't already have it in your collection). Highly recommended.

This is Anchorman 2 not one so take it for what it's worth. This is nothing but random stupid humor at it's best. The super sized edition is simply crazy. If you like comedy and don't get caught up in comparing this one to the first one you will love it!!!!!

Before Anchorman, I was never sold that Will Ferrell could carry a movie on his own. He had always played somewhat amusing side characters like in Night at the Roxbury and Old School, but Anchorman marks his debut at the center. Along with Step Brothers, this is Ferrell at his best. You must be dead inside if you don't find this film hilarious.

Will Ferrell's character Ron Burgundy is sheer genius in his clueless arrogance as the self described genius anchorman. Supporting cast an interesting mix of characters. Be prepared to laugh throughout the movie.

The jokes in this movie are very unique and you'll pick something up new each time. This movie will make all you and your friends laugh hysterically. Because of the humor though it is probably geared toward middle age men. Still a great movie!

If you're a fan of Will Ferrell then you will enjoy this movie. Same style of comedy that most of his movies are. Let's face it, it's not a serious movie but if you're looking for some cheap laughs then buy it. Good addition to the comedy collection.

This is an often quoted movie in our house and you just can't argue with the value of this Blu-ray movie. It it, however, one that must be watched multiple times to be fully enjoyed. Well unless you're just not a Will Ferrell fan.
