I really wanted to like this game, I love Animal Crossing and the Amiibo were adorable. But this game is just terrible. Think Mario Party without any of the games, or the candy to change things up. It a game of total chance that REQUIRES you to tap the amiibo to the gamepad every time to roll the dice. Each dice roll lands you on a space the either gains or loses money and/or happy points. There's no element of skill to anything in the game, a two year old could play evenly. Literally, I played with my two year old sister and she very nearly won over myself (26) and my other sister (18). I did give it one additional star (moving it up to 2) because when I play with my sister (18) we do get some enjoyment out of it because we are familiar with the characters and the stories are kind of cute. So there's that I guess...

I love most the animal crossing games because it’s a peaceful and relaxing game. This version adds a small mall area that you may visit. Just make sure you get to the store before it closes otherwise you’ll have to wait till the next day. Basically in this game you live your life. You have responsibilities but they can wait.

The game is probably best suited for animal crossing fans. I bought the game for the amiibo and the game is honestly a dull. Considering the price I had to give it the 3 stars that I did. Considering it has 2 $13 figures as well as 3 amiibo cards, its worth paying for the game.

My younger brother (9 yo) and I are both Animal Crossing fans. This game is a simple board game style with some fun mini games. It does tend to get repetitive, but he enjoys it very much. The amiibo figures that it comes with are great.

I wish I would've read the reviews more closely before buying this game. My two older children (16 & 11) were as excited as my 7 yr old when I told them about this game. We were expecting something similar to Mario Party but obviously more Animal Crossing-ish. We were not expecting to be bored out of minds and hoping it would end asap. Alas, nothing we could do to speed it up. On the plus side, my 7 yr old said she liked it. Although, she hasn't asked to play it since we got it. The figures are great though and my kids definitely like having them on the shelf in front of the Wii U. They just wish they loved this game as much as the other games in the franchise.

This is supposedly a video board game, but it should be called a video BORED game. See what I did there? Seriously, this game is slow. The players don't compete with each other. You basically roll a virtual dice, either by pressing a button or placing an Amiibo toy on the controller, then something random happens. Either it is good or bad, but you don't get any control. At the end of the game, whoever has the most "happy points" wins. My daughters - ages 4, 5, and 9 - liked it well enough, but the game is full of text and I had to read them the whole thing, which was annoying. I doubt I will play it with them again, and I doubt they will play it by themselves.

Excellent game for both kids and spouses that may not play many games (or love the Animal Crossing series like mine!). It's a little lacking in content, but for the price paid I do not regret the purchase.
