The Anova is an upgrade from my previous vacuum sealer. I can't give it a full 5 stars as I don't feel like it seals as tight as I would like, but that's also a personal preference. It still seals properly. Pros: -Quiet -Size/weight -Easy to clean -Reasonably priced Cons: -Doesn't seal as tight as I personally would like -Would like a detachable cable.

For the price, this thing is a great addition to my kitchen. It's lacking (or I haven't figured out) a couple of features, such as the ability to hook up a vacuum hose to an accessory like a jar sealer, but you get that kind of thing when you spend more money. If you just want a compact, economical way to package food for storage or for use with an immersion cooker (sous vide), it's perfect. I went ahead and bought a couple of rolls of vacuum bags, instead of the pre-cut ones, and they work great!

This has been an awesome purchase for my home. This vacuum sealer does exactly what it should. The value is the biggest selling point and the fact it performs as it should make it worth every penny. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is for one reason only. I always cut all of the bags I need before I start sealing. I usually seal each bag prior to putting any of the food inside. You can't seal 2 bags back to back without a break in between. The seal will not turn on until it has cooled down for a few seconds. Usually about 30-45 seconds between each seal. That is a little hassle for me but not a deal breaker. If you are only sealing one or two at a time this won't be an issue for you. I usually buy in bulk and have to seal about 15-20 bags each time so this is why it was noticed for me.

This is the first food saver I've ever had, so I was grateful that it was simple to figure out. There are only pictures to follow, no written instructions. The main thing is to make sure both sides of the bar are snapped into place before you press the button. It does a good job of sucking the air out and of sealing. It's a good value for the money. I wish I would have purchased one that can do liquids though! This one can handle a little liquid, but it really isn't made for that.

Works great, its like the little sealer that could. It very compact and veryyy quiet. Reasons its not a 5 star: - The space to hold the bag to get the seal is pretty small - You have to wait 30 seconds between each seal (not fun for processing a deer) - You have to push down on the lid to lock it, meaning there is not level to press down for the seal.

Simple to use and not very noisy. Most vacuum sealers are noisy. This one seems quieter than most. It has a small foot print so you can leave it out if you have the space.

I haven't had this fun little piece of kitchen equipment very long - but so far, so good! (I haven't had it long enough to give it an "excellent") I have been using the Sous Vide method of cooking for a couple of years now but have been struggling with putting the food in ZipLock bags but after the last bag leaked water and ruined (!) my quite expensive brisket, I decided to get a vacuum seal. This one was priced right and so far it's working great. So - if you are a fan of Sous Vide, you might want to check this baby out.

Used to vacuum seal cuts of meat. The product is easy to use and has good seals on the bags. However, got to watch for when the bag folds over and does not form a full seal. I blame this more on bags than the vacuum sealer. All and all a solid purchase for the price.

This little vacuum sealer does a great job, and is simple to use. It has 3 function buttons an two locking tabs one on each side. This meant to use for sous vide cooking but I use it for both sous vide and freshness vacuum sealing for meats prior to freezing.

This sealer is great for having such a compact size! I’ve used this sealer for storing food in the freezer and for preparing ingredients for a sous vide. It works fine but you may want to buy up if you to freeze soups or other foods with even a small amount of liquid content. You can use the pulse button to seal saucy foods but you won’t be able to fully vacuum the air out. This works fine if you’re diligent.

Works great. Very easy to use. Vacuum seals with no air. We put meat in ours with marinating. Able to freeze or put in fridge

This is so easy to operate. Really like the option to just seal or vacuum and seal.

My 15 year old vacuum sealer finally gave up and I needed one in a pinch. This one had very good marks for the price so I decided to go with it. It works well. I like that you press it down and it locks so you don't have to hold the cover down like on my own one. The only bad is that it doesn't have a great duty cycle. I was packaging my processed deer and I had to pause several times and let the unit relax a bit. If you are just using it every now and then I'd say go for it. If you need to use it a LOT over the course of a short period of time for a lot of back to back sealing then this machine will not keep up with that kind of use but for the average user I think it works just fine.

Very simple to use, I just wish it was a little wider. We haven't run into any issues yet. Very easy to double or triple seal due to trauma from previous sealers. Only downside is that is says no liquids (marinades and whatnot).

Easy to use vacuum sealer. Has moderate strength suction. This gets he job done and was a good price for a bundle with the nano. Works well with dry becareful using contents with liquids. All in all. Very good for the price.

This is good for what it is. It is small easy to store. Easy-to-use. No frills vacuum sealer. I wish it had a little more to it such as adjustability on the vacuum suction. And if you are vacuuming moist items.

Great product! Only complaint is that it doesn't come with detailed instructions. It took me a bit, but once I figured out how to work it, it's been a breeze. It's small and compact so it fits nicely anywhere. Also comes with bags and is a great price!

Does the trick for all my needs. It does a pretty good job of getting most if not all the air out most of the time... you can easily hit the manual suction button to give it some extra help before you seal it. My only reasons for not giving this 5 stars are: 1. When it sucks up any juices from the bag (there's always a little juice...) it ends up going into the little suction area, which is annoying to clean because it's awkward and narrow 2. The distance from the suction area to the seal area is a little bit long so you waste a little bit of bag length each time. Overall I use this thing all the time and love it. I also like using it as a sealer only for things like potato chips that come in plastic bags... it works great!

Normally, I'd say you get what you pay for. But you get your value and THEN some with this vacuum sealer. Very happy how it's dealt with bags of food that had some juices in it.

This product is "good" - I am guessing that because some of the Anova bags I used were significantly larger than the protein inside, they did not seal properly. I noticed, when I cut the bags to a smaller size, they tended to seal the first attempt and the seal was excellent. I would have given it a 3.5 but rounded up as the poor seal could have been attributed to "operator error."
