Solid product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for another antenna and I came across this one. It has a nice design that fits well with my mounted TV. The only negative thing about this product would be its ability to stick to the wall. I applied the sticker how it instructs but it was coming away from the wall within 15 minutes. I ended up using a command strip on the back of the base instead and now it stays up just fine. The picture quality works great once you find a good signal.

Small foot print antenna
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very small foot print ... mounted it as high as possible which had a huge impact in the number of channels received. Did not want a large or roof mount antenna. No holes to drill ... just press on a clean surface. Quite impressive performance for it's size. I actually received more channels than the antenna website predicted.

Best Yet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had tried 6 OTA antenna's before this one, including a large metal one that I mounted in the attic. I ended up taking them all back because none of them would play my PBS channel. I got this one because of the good reviews, but was not expecting much because it just looks like a piece of flat, flimsy plastic cut into a doughnut shape. Fortunately, I was wrong and it works great. This is the first one I've gotten that can receive my PBS station. The others would find it, but wouldn't play it. I understand that the company now has a new one that's suppose to be even better and of course more expensive, but I don't feel the need to keep trying. I did have to move it around a few times to get the best reception and it wasn't anywhere that I expected. Not on a window, just on my living room wall, about two feet feet from the window. Because my wall is textured, their tape lasted about a five minutes before it hit the floor, but some of the 3M extra strength tape did the trick. Of course, if I ever have to move it, I'll probably peel off about a square foot of paint, but I'll worry about that if for some reason, removing it becomes necessary.

Antenna works great, gets all the local stations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The antenna picks up all the local stations without any static or interruptions. The signal strength is good and provides great picture quality. Only one adhesive strip is provided so make sure you're positive on where you want to hang the antenna before using it.

Absolutely Fantastic!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We stream via Roku and have antenna's for our local programs. Mine was working fine, but my husband's was unreliable even though we had the same antenna. I assume he was getting a lot of interference at his location in the house. Anyway, researched, read lots of reviews for various in home antenna's and decided on this one. One reason was because if it didn't work, we could easily return it to a local Best Buy. The installation took about 2 minutes, we scanned for channels, and oh my word...he is getting more channels than he ever did on the other one he had! Clear picture, no interference, and reliable! I know everybody's experiences are different with all the antenna's out there due to where they live and so forth. Our property and neighborhood has loads of trees, but this antenna works fantastic for us.

My second Antennas Direct antenna.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Antennas Direct - ClearStream Eclipse Amplified Indoor HDTV Antenna. I purchased a second antenna for my bedroom TV after purchasing an antenna for my downstairs man cave. I tried other antenna models that did not work for me, including the budget black black rectangular slab on an easel, and the three small antennas coming out of a black base. Your geography and location of signal source will mostly determine which antenna works best for you. My first antenna purchase included a white cable that I could run up the white a wall, but the second antenna I bought had a black cable which clashed with the wall and I ended up buying a white cable for the aesthetics. I did not trust the sure grip antenna to cling to my wall, but used a small command strip hook to place the antenna in the best place for reception. I did get these on a bargain as an open box purchase, and while they might not have worked for someone else, they worked for me.

Like any antenna, reception depends on placement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What antenna manufacturers don’t tell you is that UHF frequencies on which digital television are broadcast are small enough to bounce around within a room. At any given point in the room on any given frequency, a direct and a reflected carrier wave may both reach the antenna. If the direct wave is at a positive point at the antenna and the reflected wave is at a negative point, the net effect is zero voltage for that channel, and no amount of amplification can produce a usable signal (0 x 20db of amplification is still zero). What you have to do is move the antenna inside the room a few inches to move if away from the null point for that channel, but inevitably you will move it to a null point for another channel. So the only effective way to use an indoor antenna is to mount it in a window facing the transmitter and run cable inside or outside the house to the TV. This antenna is not designed to receive TV channels in the VHF band (channels 2-13). But do not confuse a TV stations virtual channel number with its real RF channel. For example, a TV station advertising itself as channel 6 might actually broadcast on RF channel 41. To make sure, consult a web site such as AntennaWeb.com or TVFool.com. If the station you want to receive actually broadcast on channel 7-13, this antenna will not receive it if the transmitter tower is more than about 15 miles away. Even then, I notice reception might fade away when the leaves grow out. If your desired station broadcast on channels 2-6, this or ANY digital antennna will have difficulty in capturing a signal. If your desired station broadcast on channels 7-13 and is more than 15 miles away, select an antenna with a width of 15 inches, which is more tuned to these frequencies. This antenna comes with an antenna amplifier. As I indicated above, the amplifier is useless when your antenna is placed in a null point for a channel. The amplifier will do more harm than good if you live closer than about 10 miles to the transmitter (signal overload). The only time you should use the amplifier is if you have to do a long cable run from the antenna in a window facing the transmitter to the TV. Then only place the amplifier near the antenna, not the TV. The signal from low power stations has to ampified before losing voltage in a long cable run. If you can not place the amplifier near the antenna, the it is pointless to place it near the TV. If there is enough signal to be amplified, then there is enough signal to be decoded by the TV without any amplification. So if you can place this antenna properly (in a window facing the transmitters) and are not interested in looking at TV stations transmitting on RF channels 2-13, then this is the BEST antenna for these conditions. It is designed to be the best at receiving weak UHF channels, and wastes no cost or space in a feeble attempt to receive VHF channels. Moreover, its open circle design presents minimum interference to your view out the window. If you are unfortunate enough to live where transmitters are more than 45° apart, then you have to buy 2, one for each direction, then switch between the antennas at the TV.

Reception good for my area; best with amplifier
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This antenna works well. We are located about 30 to 50 miles from the transmitter towers. We tried it without the amplifier first and got around 35 channels. A couple prime channels didn't come in. With the amplifier installed, the scan brought up over 50 channels and we got all of the prime time channels including CBS. CBS fluctuates once in a while, but it is available on a higher channel number which comes in clear. It works best on a window.

Amazing HD Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was skeptical but bought it anyway and glad I did. The HD quality is great. Easy to install. I researched before buying and followed the tips from other buyers. Searched, if my area had digital towers, this helps a lot. I set up mine in the window using the self stick clear tape that is provided. I get 18 channels, all free and no more outrageous cable bill. My friend bought this same unit after our recommendation and because of their vicinity near the digital towers, they get 24 channels. On windy days you might have some pixelation but when you remember the nearly $1,000 a year you are saving, that won't matter.. I bought one for each tv. I did notice on my windows that are double panned, I lose 2 channels, but that could be because of the position I placed the antenna. Keep in mind that you can always return your item, but I think If you place it properly you will be very happy. We are on our 4th month without cable and haven't missed it at all.

Antenna works great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this antenna for my Mother. She recently moved to a retirement community and didn’t want the cost of cable or the choice of multitude of stations she won’t watch. Very easy to install. Picks up many local stations with great reception. Liked it so much went back to Best Buy to purchase another for her second TV. Recommend this product...fair price...works great!

Nice antenna
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a split level and needed a quality antenna. I like the shape and the ability to stick it to the window. For my basement a model with rabbit ears couldn't receive a good enough signal. Channels look great in HD. Got it mainly for football season but have been enjoying some of the local stations I'm able to pick up. Sometimes the screen will get pixelated but it's not constant. I'm happy with the purchase compared to my old cable bill

NOT BAD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Of Course with anything 'NEW' there is the learning curve and thank goodness for the son in law who has already cut the cord. Haven't done that yet but during the holidays wanted another TV available in an extra bedroom. Okay folks so I am 63 and i knew enough to check the area for distances with broadcast towers and looked like my area was OKAY --- chanced it with this --- didn't want to go any more $ expensive until they refine these in whatever way they do. Had good reception on limited channels - then hooked into my WIFI to get a some of the 'APPS' CNN etc. picture is wonderful ( find someone that gets it and has tried it --- ) for FREE TV -- or shall i say not 'another rented TV box - which would make four in our house --- NOT BAD ! Paid 60 $ for this and wasn't sure if I would keep it BUT why not ??? never know when I will have a houseful again

Good reception with a little tiling
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This antenna gives a clear picture of the main channels and an array of sub channels. Movement around the room can cause some tiling that seems to clear up pretty quickly. The booster was necessary to get to this point. We have to hang it in a window which makes it kind of intrusive but not prohibitively for a kitchen. It is noticeably better than the GE version I bought at Target.

Solid Antenna for South SFV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in Reseda (Los Angeles), on a second story. This antenna does it for me, gives me all I hoped for. CBS, NBC, and ABC. I even get an Armenian Music video channel, among a few other Armenian channels. Bonus for whoever has interest in the other side of Mt. Ararat, there's a channel that shows Persian movies too. I'm a white Latino, but I like those gems of TV you get in L.A.... I also just found out I pick up Fox 11, which means I can watch Rams football games straight from the network. But as for the antenna itself (not for what it gets in my area, which is North of Universal Studios, South of Six Flags), it's great... I got it on sale, and was lucky to get a couple of discounts. Although, I have nothing to compare it to... I'm confident cheaper antennas will work the same... But I just wanted the highest quality antenna possible, and I figured my money would be an investment in clear picture and reliability... Comparing it to itself alone, it actually works really well. It's as crisp and clear as any DVD or even Blu-ray. At least, in my apartment. There was only ONE time there was a barely noticeable, minor image ripple. All other times, after lots of viewing, it worked perfectly. And I can say I have some quality TV. I can't really tell it's an antenna. I wish I put more thought into learning about modern antennas years ago. If I did, I would have bought one much sooner.

Best antenna ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried a few antennas for my lake home... the main channel (ABC) was what I wanted. This antenna got WAY more channels than others. I have it connected to a Roku/Smart TV which I also purchased at Best Buy. Both items were purchased from the sales rep’s suggestion... I also looked directly on the direct antenna web site - easier for me to buy at the store, plus I could see the size of the unit ( Some are so large!). This unit is tiny, easy to install/connect. BEST feature is you can connect additional USB cable if you need it. Some antenna do NOT have that option, which I learned too late. Try it, it is a good antenna!
