when the cable goes down; relief is a click away

Due to TV owners blocking channels and Cable Companies fighting about their billing issues; I had to purchase an indoor ClearStream Micron XG Indoor Long-Range Digital TV Antenna to watch the Cleveland Browns play football. I ended up with over 40 channels and you cannot tell whether you're watching cable and/or antenna TV. I wish I was not obligated to maintaining cable service as I would drop them like a hot potato. With the internet TV and my antenna it will be a rainy day before I get bored. In fact when it rains is when I know I can click a button and still watch my Browns play. Far-out Berttherebelrouser

I cut Directv and went to OTA TV. I live in a wooded area 19 miles away from the transmitters. First I tried the cheap RCA antenna for @ $16. It did work except for when it got the leastl breezy outside and the trees would move, then I got distortion. So then I bought the ClearStream Micron XG Indoor Long-Range Digital TV Antenna. I like the stand it comes with. I had to tape the RCA to the window. The ClearStream I put on the TV stand facing in the direction of the transmitters. Finally I have good reception! Plus the HD is excellent on those channels that broadcast it. I receive 24 channels. I highly recommend this antenna. But, if it gets stormy it will distort occasionally, but so did Directv. Now, everybody's situation is different. But if you buy it at Best Buy you have 30 days to try it and can return it if it doesn't work for you.

I've never used an HD Antenna, so I don't have much to compare, but this is a solid Antenna. The picture looks great & we get all the local channels just fine (plus a few others). My only grip is an occasional glitch in the signal (which could be my location), but ever few times watching TV the signal distorts (like a satellite signal would during a snowstorm). However, it's not too often when it happens (I might continue to play with antenna locations to help see if that improves it). Set up was a breeze. My wife, who's never installed any electronic item before, she did it in about 5-10 min. For the price (& how much you will save monthly from cable/satellite bills), this is a great way to go.

I got this clearstream digital TV antenna, and all round it's been just fine, nothing too exciting.. I mean, the pictures are clear, easy to setup, also I like it's design (beautiful).. But, I've got two other TV in my house using antennas which cost $25, so if I consider the fact that this antenna cost me a $100, then the Gulf in price isn't justified.

Gets about 35 mile range on picking up TV signals. It's not omni-directional, so you have to turn it toward the antenna tower you're trying to pick up. There's sites on the Internet that will show you where the local stations are being broadcast from so you know where to aim the antenna. I wish it came with a motorized base so you could remotely turn it instead of having to get up and move it physically. The price is a little steep. I also discovered the placement of the coax cable will affect the antenna's signal, sometimes just moving the coax will get a better signal.

I had my doubts that this would work because it was for a tv located in an inner room of the home and no antennas ever worked. I saw this and took a chance. Started the channel search feature and it picked up 50 air channels! Best thing about it besides the ease of set up is that you don't have to move it around to catch a better signal. Set it and forget it!

Worked as expected, especially along with the reflector. I'm in an especially difficult area. Cell phone coverage spotty, 4GLTE spotty. This antenna gets me all my local channels. Caution - with the reflector (highly recommended), it can't be laid flat, so you need at least 10 inches of height clearance wherever it is placed.

    Easy Setup But Limited Range

Setting up the antenna was very simple but if you are trying to maximize the height where you place the antenna, you will need to buy a longer coaxial cable to reach the TV. We live within about 30 miles of numerous TV broadcast stations, network and others. However, the advertised 50 mile range of the antenna is probably more suited to city dwellers. After trying several different placements of the antenna, we continue to have some audio drop-outs and video tiling. As expected, inclement weather conditions further degrade the signal. If you live within 25 miles of your stations and are located in mostly flat terrain that is in the line-of-sight of the broadcast antennae, this should be a good option for you.

My house is located around 30-40 miles from most TV stations. I tried a few indoor antennas of other brands, only could received one or two stations at most. None of them had worked out. With this one, I can receive near 20 channels from CBS, NBC, FOX, CW, PBS, and etc.The pictures are crystal clear and it works better during night. I really happy with this product. Wish it had extra range of 5 or 10 miles.

I purchased this antenna for my son. Gets great reception. Would have liked to receive more channels, but I am told that had more to do with my location than with the product. I watched the "how to install" video on line. Installation was done in no time!

This product was easy to install and tune to find all channel available in our area which was about 16 to 20 channels (local) has a range of 35 miles. If I lived in a rural area probably would want one that would go 50 miles.

I purchased this powered antenna so I could view the Super Bowl in Midtown Manhattan. Once I oriented the antenna properly towards the towers (found the location on the web), the antenna worked well with no dropping of the signal. Out in the very edges of Northeast Queens, the antenna has problems receiving the signal in our bedroom, even though it is pointed in the direction of the towers by a window. I have had problems with other antennas in this location as well, so I do not think that is a problem of this model. The reason I gave it 4 out of 5 is that I find it a little bulky for placement. The legs, reflector, and antenna loosely snap together. If it was a stronger connection, I would give this 5 stars, but whenever I try to move it, at least one leg comes off.

i have a problem, being in a rural area, with bringing in stations from around me. This antenna doesn't do well one the first floor but if I set it on the top stair of my second floor it brings in more stations than I've ever had. We don't have cable or satellite tv. Funny thing is ....the closest station to me, the one II really want because its local news and weather, is the only station it won't bring in !!! I do like it though...I'll just have to use my pc for news and weather.

This antenna is pretty good, it is a bit big and takes up alot of space. But can't complain when i'm not paying for cable anymore!! A bit on the pricey side for it being an antenna though.

I purchased this antenna shortly before I hosted a Superbowl party. Thought of everything except for the video source. Did not have enough time to schedule satellite, and cable prices are ridiculous, so I stopped by and picked this up. The salesmen was smart to recommend the amplified antenna because of my area. I could not receive one antenna non-amplified, but once I powered up, the picture quality is great. Easy to use and setup. (Your picture quality and need for an amplified device will really depend on your area & situation.)

Antenna enabled me to reach more local channels, I do not have cable nor dish and my other antenna did not receive all the local channels. Now I have several to chose from. Clearly receive the major networks, Plus PBS and a couple I did not know about. No special tools to install. Was able to install myself following the easy to read instructions.
