The product itself is everything that the description says, so there are no problems there. In terms of the gameplay itself, this game delivers in some areas and lazy in others. The problems in this game primarily lie in the lack of originality and actual action in missions. No matter what mission you take on, everything you do within the mission is the same i.e fight monsters, hold square to save people/ disable bomb/etc. It's repetitiveness really holds the game back. The story itself is interesting, the problem here is that the game throws you into the middle of the world and for some reason expects you to know all the terminology. You'll have no idea what is actually going on in the world which is disappointing considering that the actual world is really cool. But aside from those two problems, the game is lots of fun, it just needs dlc's/updates to expand the world and keep the game fresh.

So...I'm going to be honest...I expected much more. So far, I'm not impressed and I'm hoping that I'll see a patch or update fix things to how I feel they should be. As for the game itself...it's a lot like destiny...so maybe like destiny they'll make it better over time. The graphics are pretty great, the action can be amazing too...when it wants to be, and sometimes it's a lot of fun. Hopefully things get better before the player base leaves.

Please note I wanted to rate this at a 4 to 5 but the cut content and bugs forced me to reconsider.
Plot: You are a freelancer who pilots an armored suit in the wilderness to protect traders, eradicate threats, unlock the past, and just fly around killing electric wielding rabbits because you can.
Pros: The individual suits are nicely detailed and can be painted or customized on way or another. The scenery is very beautiful but the underwater needs some touch-ups. Some great CGI cut scenes.
Cons: Many, many, many load screens and times. Going from the main town to equip a weapon, back to town, to mission selection, to mission launch (5 loads minimally). After the mission, you load into the XP gather screen and then more loads to the town or weapon screens. Bugged townsfolk, several times I will walk through the gates and the townsfolk will move like the old windows pop-up lock error, watching a person get stretched 30 feet is quite annoying. You will also face loading if a teammate progresses in the mission by walking away from you while you mine or searching a key/unique item such as location lore information, essentially you have to pick it up if you see something flashing then wait till after the mission and several load screens later to see what you found.
Conclusion: The game has issues, I left many out but it also has can be saved. As a looter-shooter I think it fails, as a linear sci-fi story I think it can pass. I still recommend it because it is an experience that is lovely but frustrating.

The flight and exploration of this beautiful world are definitely the biggest selling points. I definitely enjoy the combat (think Mass Effect with flight) but there is a good bit of loading.

I’ve really enjoyed Anthem so far. Many will tell you it’s a super buggy game, and it shouldn’t have been released in such a state. I completely agree with this sentiment. This is considered a “live” game that is ever changing, similar to games like Destiny, The Division, Diablo or WoW. With that said, they’ve already released multiple updates and have been working since release to fix any issues they’ve found or have been reported. I’m not surprised there are issues as all the aforementioned titles have also had issues and needed updates. In my opinion, wait another month to see how they iron out any of outstanding issues.
On the positive, if you’ve ever wanted to fly around and feel like Iron Man, get this game. The foundation is here to make a solid, fun game, and again, I’ve had a blast so far! My gripe is just that far too many games these days seem rushed to release instead of fixing them first. I’d rather the latter as I’m from a generation where when you bought a game, that was the game. There was no internet update to fix any problems.

When Anthem first came out, I read the mediocre reviews. I saw the internet hate and watched some of the videos describing what the hell was so wrong with the game. I don't disagree, but that doesn't mean I haven't enjoyed a bunch of my time with this game. I bought the game when it was half-off ($30) and feel like my money was well spent. It gets repetitive and the customization is minimal for a game like this. But there's something about the freedom your armor gives you that you really can't get anywhere else. If you're interested in the game, give it a try (if you get it cheap).

It is a fun game and has some FUN mechanics. The flying is pretty cool BUT it has some serious problems. Hopefully a patch is incoming soon. Constant disconnects, PS4 system shutting down, etc etc. Make no mistake, it is a fun game but I'd wait till the patch comes out and actually fixes something.

Had extremely high hopes for this game and was sad disappointed it. I has plenty potential but lacks the progression and customization options and becomes repetitive very quickly unlike many other options for loot shooters. I would recommend Division 2.

Anthem has been given a bad rap from reviewers. However, the game is a solid title. Combat is refined, the story is good, the backstory is also good, and NPC interaction is as good as any Bioware game. The only real problem with this game is it released with a little less content than it should have, but there have been weekly content updates since the initial release (the EA All Access release on 2/15/2019).

The eye candy of this game is pretty good. However, the story line seems incomplete. Even though it was a long time coming, it feels like this game was rushed to market. They are attempting to fix it, releasing 3 significant updates in the first week.

I honestly have been having a lot of fun playing this game. I hate that there is no offline content, and yeah it has repetitive type missions (seriously, what game’s don’t?) but other than that I really like the game. Traversal is fun, and the battles have been pretty engaging so far. I kind of wish I wouldn’t have listened to all the hate in the beginning. At this point I think it’s definitely worth a play. I’m glad I did.

I was really excited about this game, and initial impressions are that it is "good" -- movement, combat, etc feels right, and is fun. I'm a little concerned the lack of real variety to enemies and encounters could grow stale over time, but with this kind of game, with live services, BioWare is likely to add more variety as time passes.
Still, the core game loop is fun, and its a loot drop action RPG. So far, fairly good!

Anthem at launch was not worth the price of admission but now that it is heavily discounted then go for it. The game play is immensely fun even if the end game is not very compelling. At five to ten dollars that the game is selling for nowadays then its way worth it. Your still gonna get over 20 hours of solid game play but after that you probably wont come back. I'd buy that for a dollar!!

EA is known to have pay to play games, this isn’t one of them. But the major downfall is the gosh darn servers. From what I have played I’ve thoroughly enjoyed, it’s fun and challenging at the same time.

I will start by saying I do like the game. Its very colorful and it does a great job adding verticality through flight. The environments are cool and the freeplay exploration make it fun. However, its flaws kind of hurt the game overall. The map is not helpful and doesn't allow you to set waypoints. The weapons all look the same with little differentiation (destiny does this better). also, sadly, as a loot and shoot game, the loot really sucks. There is nothing really compelling about searching for more loot. I think if it interests you I would wait, like Fallout 76, since the prices will probably drop fast and perhaps Bioware comes out with some patches to maybe help the loot system.
