Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the smooth gameplay and detailed open world of Anthem Legion of Dawn Edition, finding the flying mechanics and action sequences particularly enjoyable. However, some players express concerns regarding the game's story, lengthy loading times, and limited content at launch. While acknowledging some bugs and server issues, many appreciate the game's value for its price.

So much potential squandered! This game could have been one of the most awesome in its genre. HOWEVER it does fall very short of living up to its potential. What is great about this game is blasting off in your Javelin and flying around a very lush environment. The sound with headphones is AMAZING! It is a cool looking and sounding game. Unfortunately its just a shiny shell with nothing really on the inside. Bosses blah! NPCs blah! Enemies are just lame! Nothing memorable other than the opening cut scene and maybe a few in the middle of the game. I would wait on this game for a while. It will go on sale sooner than later!

Enjoying the graphics and the animations are top notch BUT content is lacking. I heard DLC will be coming out shortly but it might be to late to pill me back in

The game is great, when it works. It looks fantastic, but EA failed because there are alot of bugs they didnt fix. When things get corrected, it will be a great game.

The gameplay is actually pretty fun, but there's some tweaking BioWare needs to do. It seems common for loot shooters to be unfinished at release and make edits based on gamers response. BioWare so far seems quick to make amends, so I'm intrigued that the game will become better over time. The Legion of Dawn edition really adds no value though, so if you're interested in jumping in early I'd get the standard copy. Otherwise, I'd wait and see if changes come soon to make it more worthwhile. I'm optimistic it will, but I'd be cautious if you don't already own a copy.

There's nothing quite like flying around the world of Anthem. The game is absolutely gorgeous and the combat is fantastic. My only gripe is that the endgame content is currently lacking. However, the developers have been very quick to respond to the community so I'm fairly confident that this will shape up to be a 5 star game.

Overall a good game, but Bioware needs to change a lot to get this up to snuff. I love what is offered and Bioware promises it'll get better so for anyone else, maybe wait a bit to buy it til those improvements come. If you are like me and have been following the game and really interested in the concept, I'd say grab it now.

With all the negative things people have been saying about this game, i think its pretty awesome. Graphics are great and its just a unique game. Yes load times can be long, but what do you expect from an online game that has such a detailed open world.

I love the game and the game play. The server issues and getting Legendary items are my only gripes. Sometimes there aren’t any Server issues, sometimes quite a few and the game crashes. And finding Legendary items is hit or miss depending on your “Luck” and Luck Stat”. But I recommend the game.

I'm sure that, by now, if you're reading this then you are well aware of the controversies surrounding this game. Here's the bottom line: the base game isn't that bad and is actually very fun. The flight mechanics are amazing! The problem is that this game is geared towards two completely different types of gamers and it fails for both of them. For long time Bioware fans, we were expecting an epic narrative that would take 50-80 hours to complete. It's not that. The main campaign can be finished in under 20 hours and it doesn't have the depth we've come to expect from the creators of Mass Effect, KOTOR, and others. The other group the game was marketed to are the fans of "loot-shooters" and this game fails them, too. They expect to be able to play for thousands of hours and to keep grinding loot, and the game just isn't good at it. Personally, I couldn't care less about grinding for loot. That sounds dreadfully boring, but apparently some games do it much better than Anthem. If they add more content throughout the year, I'll check it out and my review may change, but at the moment, it's fun for the first 20 hours, but then just drops to pure tedium.

I’m sure most have heard about anthems Ricky launch and continued updates to get the game to a better place. Even with all this bad press, the game is still really fun to play and enjoy and I’m confident the developers are poring everything they got to make it the game we love and diserge.

I'm a little late to the party. Have played probably 20 hours. I like it. I'm trying to figure out how to describe it accurately. It has some problems (the loading screens are no joke). The devs are being pretty transparent and keeping people who play in the loop on things that are being fixed and the devs have a pretty quick turn around on the things they say they are working on fixing (less than a week). So while it is in need of polish and variety, the core seems to be in good shape. Story wise, it's a really long prologue into a large BioWare story. Hopefully, they keep up the work and manage to keep things afloat long enough to tell the story. Currently, after the main story has been completed, there is your normal "do activities to get better loot" things to do, but not much beyond that. All DLC is free and seems to be being released monthly or almost monthly. If you like mechs and BioWare you will probably like this, but just go into it knowing you will need to be in it for the long haul.

This game is fun to play, but its annoying. It has long load ups, the enemies you face most of the time (like 7/10 times) will just pop out of no where. By that I mean... You will go to an area and youll start taking damage... because the enemy is there but they haven't loaded for you to see. Happens a lot. The game has potential. BUY IT IN 4-6 months whent hey fix their game.... IF THEY FIX THE GAME. In the mean time I suggest The Division 2. They really upped their game from their first one. WAY BETTER.

Anthem is really a great game to me. is it perfect? no far from it, but its enjoyable and people are being overly harsh. it definitely has potential to be better, but it's fine to me. no lootboxes so no pay to win. only purchases in game are cosmetic and emotes, which can be unlocked in game.

The combat and flight controls are fun. But once you reach max lvl.30 all there is to do is grind gear. Which isn't a bad thing. But right now the loot system is broken and you find yourself replaying the same missions and one stronghold in particular just to hopefully get what you need. For a game that has been in development for 6 years....... for right now I don't think this game is worth full price. I'd say more like $29.99 possibly $39.99 if they release more endgame content that is actually fun.

This game has been getting a lot of hate, however I've been really enjoying it. The easist way to describe the combat is Mass Effect meets Iron Man. My only realy gripe is at times knocking out all the conversations in the Hub World at Ft Tarsis can really slow down the pace of the game.

I’ve played a decent amount of Destiny and thought this game played similar. The javelin system is a good concept and gives each player a specific role. Gameplay is on point for action and storyline. Honestly for price, it’s a good game for Mass Effect and Destiny fans

The game does tend to do the same things over and over after awhile. However, I really enjoy teaming up with other to complete contracts and strongholds. I hope that they will continue to improve the game but I bought it for such a low price that I can't complain.
