    Crashing and Loading galore!

Let me start by saying that I went into this game with an open mind despite what reviewers were saying. I really really wanted to like this game. I've been playing it for over a week straight. It was cool to fly around an open world, land, shoot enemies, complete various objectives, etc. The story is kinda forgettable. The main hub/fort is vibrant but also kinda lacking at the same time. Comparing what was released to what was shown a few times at E3 is really disturbing. It looks and plays nothing like that. That "gameplay" trailer was a complete lie. The loading screen will be your new friend as its what you will see 60% of the time. This game has bugs.....LOTS OF THEM. Bugs ranging from the sound completely going out, to mission objectives that never appear causing an entire mission to have to be quit and redone, to constant crashes to the games title screen, crashes to Xbox home, and times when the game just completely freezes. This game in all honesty is a godforsaken mess. What the heck happened Bioware? Oh yeah, thats right, EA happened. Lets also talk about the loot system and drop rate. It is for the most part broken and just bad. Playing on Grandmaster 1 will still drop some common items laughably and 99% of what you get ranges from Uncommon to Epic. Very rarely and I mean VERY VERY rarely you may get a Masterwork item (Better than Epics). Which comes to the reason I am here reviewing this game and ceasing any more play time with this horrendous junk. Tonight, after pouring hours and hours playing and doing missions and strongholds......Finally, a LEGENDARY dropped. MY FIRST ONE IN ABOUT 60-70 hours. These things never ever drop, I mean never. The planets must have been aligned for me to actually get one. I finished up Freeplay, which is where I got it, quit the expedition. While its loading guess what happens, CRASH TO XBOX HOME. Everything I had just done and received.....GONE. The game doesn't save until the end of a mission. In a buggy disgusting mess like this, the developers put the save at the very end!? I was in complete shock and could not believe it. I also think the game is partly rigged to do that when you get good drops so you have to grind this garbage forever with no reward. Do yourselves a favor people, avoid this game and stay very far. Don't even accept it as a gift and don't even take it for free. We should be getting paid by Bioware and EA for play testing and putting up with this no-where-near-finished shell of a "game". Instead we paid top dollar for a buggy mess. I haven't bought EA games in a long time and gave this a chance. Done with EA and Bioware, never spending a dime on their half finished games again.

The beta had more glitches than the game of today. I can play for hours now and not experience game play issues. I've never played a game that didn't need patches. Cons first: It doesn't have "Borderlands type" dialog (my #1 co-op shooter). A lot of people aren't mic'd up. I completed 100% of the missions without vocal communication from other team members, but the game feels less like a "team effort". Also, with more team coordination the game would be more "tactical", and progression in the game would move at a faster pace. Pros: You have to play the game on "hard mode" to give weight to flying around and battling foes. That's what make this game really really fun. The weapons in the game feel amazing, and I don't believe one gun does it all. I'm using all the weapons, and the special abilities are awesome to use. The micro-transactions are a joke, and don't impact my game- play since you can make your suit unique by using thousands of color combos. Selling dropped guns and completing missions can produce coins that give you the ability to purchase items in the micro-transaction market. If you read reviews, they talk about the fact that once the glitches get resolved the game will be much better. At that time the game would be able to get to 4 stars but never 5.

First of all stay away from the Legend of Dawn edition it's a ripoff. The unique weapon is no longer useful after a few hours of game play and you can buy better looking armor with the coins you earn through the in game merchant. This has to be one of the most stunning XBOX games I have ever played. But the amount of game play it takes to level up your character will become unbearable. Many of my friends that left Destiny 2 have returned due to the absolutely poor drops in Anthem. I played just a few days ago for 4 hours on Grand Master 1 and did not get anything I already had gotten a dozen times or more. Even on the higher Grand Master settings the rare drops are few and far between. Some posts say it may take 10-20 hours of game play to get an item you need. In short, if you love stunning graphics this is a must own. But if you hate grinding run away from this game!

This game got some tough reviews when it was first released. The developers must have fixed most of the bugs because it is a very enjoyable game. It is like a mix of Destiny, Titanfall and No Man’s Sky. This is good and bad. All are good games and mixing elements of all can be a little confusing. It takes some time to learn what your focus should be in the game. The open world I feel will continue to grow and this very well could become a classic like Destiny. Destiny got some negative reviews when it released and now Destiny 2 is one of the top games. The graphics are some of the best I’ve seen on my Xbox X. The worlds are so realistic is is a pleasure to just explore. Being able to jump and fly in your suits is way cool. I got the Legion of Dawn edition on sale for $32. If it goes on sale at this price, it is a bargain to add to your game library.

Gave it a few weeks and updates before settling on a review. While the game is fun and quite amazing it's a real let down when having to waste time in Tarsis (the home base). Story is pretty basic and after you're done it's your typical grind. I'm a casual gamer with little play time so end game has been rather boring. The Challenge of VALOR is 25ea for strongholds, contracts, quick play and 100 freeplay events. That is one serious grind for Graphic: Reaver, 4000 Coins, 10 Masterwork Embers and 10 Epic Embers. Also as a casual gamer it's been crazy to get masterwork anything. Even playing as a main Colossus I've received more sniper rifles than grenade guns or autocannons. No components or gears. So as a casual, if you have friends to play with COOL but solo can basically be dynasty warriors and get boring very easily. If you're looking for easy achievements then rent it for bout a month

Its still fun alone but stronger together. The game play is like destiny except you are flying around like iron man. And that is not a bad thing. The game felt like it was not finished. And it requires online in order to play. as of now it runs okay, but others say it runs smoother on the pro than the one X not sure myself. But if u get this at that lowest price or if you got it from a friend. Play it with friends online is fun but it gets bored as you do the same thing over which is repetitively leveling up. Again if u looking for a solo campaign game, i would prefer something else as this games requires online and other people to play in order to finish a mission. Overall great price and the steelbook case is nice too.

I am enjoying the Anthem game play and the mechanic of the it so far, the only issue I have is this is like a beta version. They do not have the full content release and they are releasing it piece by piece each month. So if you have completed the main mission, then you are pretty much stuck with repeatedly doing the same missions, legendary contracts and stronghold missions to get better gear. Also the legendary equipment drop rate is horrible, I have been playing for days doing strongholds mission and legendary missions and have not gotten a piece of legendary equipment. Masterwork items are pretty rare too even on higher level difficulty. I would say get this game on a sale price because is definitely not worth paying the full price or paying extra for the Legion of Dawn edition.

I want to love this game. The environments are breathtaking. The feeling of flight in your javelin is amazing. I even enjoy the (limited) missions and story content I have been able to play/view. Why has this been limited? Well, the game came jam packed with an assortment of bugs that should never be present in a final product. Audio cutting out or going haywire, falling through the floor during cutscenes and missing everything that is happening with no way to replay the mission, and crashes that send you to the home screen during gameplay to list a few. It is really disheartening because I think they would have had something really special if given enough time to fully polish the game. I hope they are able to turn it around over time.

People really need to manage their expectations on live games these days, especially brand new franchises. Otherwise, it just turns into argumentative fanboy-style arguments over which game is better. This is a nice Bioware game with a good backstory, and I'm taking my time on it. Yes, I really enjoy Destiny 1 and 2. I also really enjoyed The Division and Diablo 3. I did not like Fallout 76, but that was a huge cluster which this doesn't compare to. The loading screens do suck, but Division has them. Destiny has them. Get an SSD to mitigate this. It did wonders for me in Division.

This is the worse game I have ever tried to play. I say try because I haven't been able to play past the tutorial. Once you complete the tutorial, you have to access the forge with equip your freelancer. I cannot access the forge and many others say the same on forums. The fix, uninstall and reinstall the game "might" work. Well, four installs later, I cannot even play the game due to "connection errors". I was warned BoiWare pushes out crap and buggy software. I should have listened. Before you buy, do yourself a favor and Google "Anthem issues"...

It feels like a Diablo shooter with flying mechanics. It does make sense that a futuristic space suit should fly and not just double jump like so many games. The character dialogue is so KOTOR and ME. Kinda weird, but makes you learn about the world you are playing in. I'm not sure I'll have a real opinion until I get to end game where drops matter more. I think this game will be dependent on how that looks for longevity. You definitely feel more powerful as you level.

I have been waiting for awhile to pick this up and I have not been disappointed! I have not played for too long due to other commitments but this game is a blast! It's beautiful to watch, cool to fly around in Javelin and the controls are mapped out nicely. I don't get all of the negative reviews, but hey to each their own. I'm still riding with Bioware. To others on the fence, if you go in without influence or expectations you will be in for a treat.

This is a great game and enjoyable to play. I have always dreamed of being iron Man and finally am able to do so. However, this game had major issues with crashing or bugged strongholds. Using an Xbox one x, I will load into free play, normally 60 seconds of loading, the game will crash and reset. Also, the loading screens, I think you sit on loading screens more than actually playing the game. Each time you do anything, there is a loading screen. I would recommend it because it is beautiful looking game, but you have to be patient.

I knew this game wasn't good, played the PC version at release and stopped at lvl 15. I grabbed the console version because it was on sale for $11.......that was still way too much for this game in it's current state. I'll probably keep it in case some miracle happens and two years from now it becomes a good game but it's EA so highly doubtful. Please save your time and money and play something else.....anything else.

i know this game has been getting a lot of hate lately but its really a gem that needs u to see it for what it is and how great it can become. each mech that u get plays totally different from each other and and air to ground combat is the best ive ever seen in a game like this the content is not there just yet but its comeing .... if u gave destiny and the division a chance why not give this one a shot at least the grind is not as bad as the other two

Not the same Bioware I grew up with. From KOTOR to Mass Effect (Even Andromeda), I was always a Bioware fan, but since then, their games have become lax and wanting. Maybe in a few months, or years, this game will be awesome, but there are no excuse for how long it took them to develop it that it isn't perfect now. Especially with all the other Looter Shooters out there and they should know what works and what doesn't, and unfortunately, this doesn't.

This is a game that was promising. With the greaty visuals and the great company behind it. Bioware. The game itself lacks so much content it feels like a demo. A glorified one with repetitive mission structure The game isn't very rewarding with loot either. Maybe there will be a fix so for the low price of $14.99 which I got it. Its a good value, also comes with the steelbook.

This game has gotten a lot of uncalled for negative press. A lot of streamers are bashing this game due to its lack of end game content but as a new IP the expectation of having a plethora of content endgame was talked about beforehand. BioWare has a road map that will give many of the diehard shooter fans content, but that might not see the light of day due to such terrible sales. This game is worth your time and money, I promise.

While other reviews may not shock and awe, I like this game. It has a Destiny feel but more freedom. I liked Destiny's overall premise but the gameplay and loot system weren't great, and the coordination required more, along with not being able to do certain things without a pre-formed group. I like that this still allows matchmaking in the dungeons and missions. The graphics are great and overall the gameplay is fun.

Ok so there are a few things that could be tweaked or improved but they are constantly updating and exciting content on the way..I have played for about 32 hours. I could go on and on and on...but all I can say if you doubt it try it for 10 hrs with EA access you might be amazed...sure story is.not as deep as Bioware usually is but they already told you it would not be months ago.. lol..but at least there is a story.
