Awesome Monitor for the price

I really love this monitor! And for the price.. it is amazing. It is so freaking sexy! thin, and elegant. Only bad thing is, like I mentioned above, I had to calibrate the color and brightness on the screen and in my computer. I do design work, and it is color sensitive so I needed it to look as good as possible. That and it only has HDMI ports (2) and VGA (the blue one) there is no DVI, which is isnt really a drawback, but I had to get a HDMI cord to replace my old DVI one. I suppose its better with HDMI anyways seeing as it does audio as well.
Oh, that too! The monitor does sound as well. Not the best, but not too shabby... (basically no bass)
Some assembly required though... not much though. And I noticed that on here some other reviewers mentioned that the bolt that secures the screen to the stand sticks out the bottom and causes the thing to be uneven... that wasnt true for me. It sucks up in the base nicely. No screwdriver or nothing needed.
I guess another negative point is that the stand, while being made of metal and all, will rock back and forth pretty easy if you try and push the monitor. It is very strung, its just not rigid. Its not a problem though... unless you are moving your monitor around a lot.
No USB ports on it... which isnt a problem for me. I never used them anyways, even on monitors that had them.
The buttons are a nice touch style... like... there is no physical button, just a spot that you tap with your finger and it turns on.
Its a huge monitor for the price... if you are thinking about getting it, GO GET THIS ONE!!! ITS AMAZING!

Great monitor, terrible speakers and included cd (manual/drivers) Monitor looks great but has the F-UGLY black piano finish on the back. Speakers work 1 in 10 times i plugged it into my laptop. (screen being used as a display extension) Sometimes the screen is too bright even though it is at minimum brightness setting.

I'm using this monitor with my MacBook Pro connected thru the hdmi port. It quickly finds the monitor and lets you set up orientation effortlessly. Sound on this monitor is terrible so buy a set of speakers. Touch controls are nice. 1080p is flawless and clear.

I've had the display for 2 weeks now. The display is so big my daughter asked if she could just call it a tv. I'm a graduate student and I write a lot, I haven't had any issues as far as pixelation. I agree with the other reviews that the speakers are not great. I put a cartoon on for the kids and the sound was muffled and difficult to hear. Just plan on using external speakers. Overall, I'd recommend it if you're looking for screen space to see multiple windows.
As an aside, the blueshirt in store tried to convince me that I needed a VGA cable and adapter for this display. I had looked online before shopping and knew the 27" had HDMI connections. I was right. Know what you need before you go in!

I only gave it four stars because the picture could be crisper than it is and there should be an option to adjust the viewing angle. I really recommend updating the drivers to get the best picture. that will save you a lot of hassle trying to figure out the settings with the "button free controls" Once it's set it is a good picture. The borderless look is great when using a dual monitor set up. I selected I would not recommend this to a friend only because of the amount of work it takes to get the picture right. Most people want it to be perfect right out of the box

We paired this monitor with our new Mac Mini. Let's just say that it is a huge upgrade from our 9 year old 19" lcd monitor. I was surprised at how inexpensive this monitor was for its size and specs. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the volume controls are not physical buttons but touch sensitive, and they are touchy. Most people probably won't use the built-in speakers anyway, but they suit our purposes (youtube videos) just fine.

Bought two of these for a work from home pc set up I built for my wife. Both monitors were easy to set up and look very nice with the silver accents. I would buy two more for myself if I didn't already have two monitors.

I caught this monitor on sale for $169, and I'm glad I pulled the trigger on it.
I originally bought this as my main monitor for my MacBook Pro, and it worked great. However I'm now using it with my PC, and yep it's still great! The display is super clear, and with it being a widescreen display is great for working. It's very nice to watch videos out movies on, when I'm not editing them.
The design is great, viewing angles are really good too. Build quality is good too, and does not seem as though it would break easily. The monitor can be used without the included stand too, giving it a nice clean look on your desk.
If you can get this on sale, you will love it. So buy it!

I bought this for a tradeshow and it worked just fine. The only minor negative is the built in audio. It is really unusable with zero bass and since I don't use the audio out, it is not a real problem for me - just FYI.

This AOC monitor is great for the price it has good blacks and good color but it would be better if it was a 1440p monitor because then it would be more clear. But it's good for $170 But the picture I provide does no justice for how good this monitor really looks.

I had bought the same monitor about 6 months ago. When I bought a new computer with dual graphics cards I decided to buy a twin. You can not go wrong with this HD monitor!

Really nice monitor with fantastic colors and a sleek look. Easy to set up. My only complaint is the touch panel for controls are too close to the on/off switch, and are often touched by mistake. (Why they didn't put the control panel on the opposite side or a couple inches to the left is anyone's guess.) Easily fixed by "locking" the control panel, but I had to look up how to unlock them again to make changes. Sound is nice, but could be a little louder. The computer is used in a small room with no space for real speakers, so I chose this monitor specifically because it had built-in sound. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new monitor with speakers.

I purchased this monitor with the idea of getting a great looking display with fantastic color reproduction for a good price. I had to trust the accolades it has received as it was an editor's choice for several companies. For the sale price I am very pleased. It looks amazing and I've received many compliments on the design of this monitor. But just as important is the actual performance. First, 27" is huge, and I love it. I have used this monitor for many applications, web browsing, photo/movie editing, and gaming alike and I have to say the screen size really immerses me during those activities. The color reproduction helped me see things in my photos I haven't seen before and the 60Hz is plenty for my needs.
The one downside, the stand is very wobbly. This is countered with the amazing ability to use the arm as a kickstand, which allows the monitor to rest flat on the desk, giving it (imo) a very clean look. This is again something I have been complimented on, as it is very fitting for my setup and is also pretty unique.
Overall, A+ for the price to performance ratio which is always something I personally shop for.

You are rarely going to beat the price and quality of a monitor at this size for this price point. Colors are crisp as always on a IPS monitor. It's a great 1080p monitor, great clean brushed metal finish and tiny bezels.
I have yet to find a single complaint about this monitor. I guess it would be that the built in speakers are bad, but no one really uses those anymore.
