This two-disc set includes the theatrical release and the Redux version released by Francis Ford Coppola in 2001, which restores 49 minutes of scenes cut from the original film. Also included is "Hearts of Darkness," a full length documentary on the Herculean task of making the film. With the current studio practice of making the safe bet and sticking with Marvel sequels, a film like Apocalypse Now would never be made. If you're a fan of this movie, this is a good buy.

This film is a true classic right from the beginning to end. The movie tells the story of how it really was and with Marlin Brando, ??? what else can I say, Best Buy has it in stock and for the price paid ( Under $10.00 ) you can't go wrong, also this BluRay comes with three discs two special features + the movie.

One of my all time favorite movies. I've had the standard definition version for quite a while but after playing it on my new LG OLED it really showed the low def. While the Blu-ray version is much better it still shows it is an older movie. I was really surprised at the additional footage contained in the Redux version. All good scenes that should have been included in the original but were cut to decrease total run time. As a bonus the "hearts of darkness" disk shows the making of the film and the difficulties they had. Great buy for the price. Only gave it 4 stars as the film quality wasn't as good as modern blu-rays.

I watch Apocalypse Now Redux the other night. It has scenes that are not in the theater version (which is also included in this set). And this set also have "Hearts of Darkness" which I haven't watched yet but what a great deal! I love this movie and it's in Blueray so the cinematography is stunning!

I watched the long version, about three hours, and I found myself at times saying to myself, okay, okay, let's move along, I get it. That said, this was a well done movie about the Vietnam War and all its horrors. Robert Duvall pretty much steals a good section of the movie with his performance, and so does Dennis Hopper with his scenes. Martin Sheen does a good job in the lead but he just didn't look cold enough for his mission. Marlon Brando comes across as more weird than hypnotically nuts, as I think was intended.

Both the feature film and the Redux version look great on Blu Ray. The extra special features disc has the making of movie Heart of Darkness, an in depth look at almost every aspect from genesis to release.

I've always heard how good Apocalypse Now is but never watched it. I'm very glad that I purchased it! It's a great film about Vietnam and what the some of the soldiers had to endure. Kinda trippy but awesome nonetheless.

I really enjoyed this movie and it becomes even more interesting if watched more than once. The chance to see all of the footage incorporated back into the film was great

Apocalypse Now is one of the greatest movies ever. Now in stunning hi-def it includes the extended redux cut and the documentary about making the classic.

Wonderfully acted, written , and directed. A taught war drama that keeps your eyes glued to the set for the entire move. Brando at his menacing best.

What can you say? 2 cuts and another documentary for under $10. How in the world are you going to find that much entertainment at this price?

I won't bother going into the details of the film itself - there are plenty of film scholars (such as the late Roger Ebert) who can do that much better than I can. What most of you want to know is how was the quality of this BD presentation? Triple feature is misleading; this is essentially the long-out-of-print Full Disclosure edition, with two cuts of the film plus the Oscar-nominated feature length documentary Hearts of Darkness. Were it not for the 4K version and its Final Cut, this would be a 5 star release, and if you don't have a 4K setup, add 2 points to the total, as the video quality here is better than the overly-compressed BD video of the 4K release. However, if you have a 4K setup, that is the route you should go.

I got this movie for my son not for me. I am a VIETNAM vet with bad PTSD so I thought he would like it,am a River Rat.

One of the greatest war movies of all time and it includes the rare behind the scenes documentary "Hearts of Darkness."

I'm not so sure the bonus movies made this purchase more valuable, but here we are. And now I have more to watch. Win?

This is one of the best movies ever made. I already owned it on DVD but it is better quality on Blu-ray.

This is one of my all time favorite movies. Brando, Sheen, Hopper and Duvall make it magnificent.

Always loved this film now have it in blue ray. Has everything in it exitcitement battle scences etc.
