My 1 year old may have to get her own on her 2nd birthday. Only setback I have with this product is that it takes too long to charge

You could get something cheaper that's much worse if you want. But why would you do that? Maybe if it was free. It's a tablet though, if you're going to buy a tablet get an iPad... Duh. We use ours to keep kids from going ham in restaurants. And it does that.

She wanted an iPad so we got her one for Christmas. She absolutely loves it!!! She needed a bigger gaming screen than her phone. It’s the perfect size for her.

Basic iPad but gets the job done

The screen is slightly smaller than the air models due to the home button and thicker borders, but you wouldn’t notice unless you put them side by side. This is more than enough power for kids, seniors, of casual users.
