If you've ever experienced the difference in charging your phone with a standard charger versus a fast charger, this is similar. It's got a lot more power to power your new Macbook Pro, so don't skimp. Also of note: This charger is more rectangular in shape than my old Macbook's square charger, luckily it helped me easily pick it out in my bag.

I'm constantly buying off brand chargers for my son's iPad. They always go bad. I finally decided to bite the bullet and spend more, to get more. These always outlast the cheaper ones for us unfortunately. Well worth it. Just hard to spend $50ish dollars all at once. But if you think about it, you maybe buy 2-3 cheaper $15-$20 chargers, for them to just go bad fast. So you're saving in the long run.
