I looked at different computers, with different processor speeds, but nothing that really stud out to me. I've always liked apple products, but never had a desktop. I'm extremely happy I choose the iMac tho. It's fast and it has style. Plus all my programs work perfect with it, and the computer offers way more then what I could need.

I went with Apple because of how easy it is to navigate, the unbeatable virus protection, and because it seamlessly connects with all of our other various Apple products. I would rather pay a little more for a computer I can keep long term, then to keep pouring money into pc's that crash for various reasons. The Apple care is great as well. I'm very pleased with my purchase this fat.

Great Computer, easy to learn and fast

But now I'm good to go. Keyboard is good to the feel. Would have liked a 10 key, but I'm dealing with it. Mouse operation is reverse from a Windows mouse. But that only gave me trouble for a couple of days.

The upgrades since we bought the previous one 6 1/2 years ago make this a quantum leap forward in terms of speed and all the little details. We're Mac-loyal and quite happily so, but my endorsement of this is completely sincere: If we had to replace another computer, we'd buy another iMac in a heartbeat!

pc user switched to mac, couldn't be happier

After lengthy research and trying to not to just jump on the bandwagon on whats cool I was set on an Apple. Since i no longer needed portability I got a desktop instead of the laptop and it was a great decision! There is a learning curve but everything is easy to pick up as I use it. My only disappointment is when i have to go back to using a pc at work since it isn't an iMac

Another great apple product

I wanted something with a bigger screen for all the reading I am doing for Grad School. This was perfect, amazingly clear screen, easy to use right out of the box and synchronizes easily with all of my other Apple products.

Look at the testing results compared to recent models with faster CPU's. The i5 is much faster than previous 'Core Duo' chips at over twice the clock speed. Typical tasks like watching HD video, CD ripping, video and picture editing, all are accomplished extremely well with this iMac.
