Apple cords are nice to look at and feel. They are also lightweight. They don’t however offer longevity or durability. They turn yellow (possibly from heat damage) and fray near the lightning end with daily use. By then they have become a fire hazard. Apple needs to get engineering advice from the outside on how to correct this ongoing disorder. I have ordered a Belkin for a replacement. It’s got to be better judging by the reinforcement at the ends.
