Not many surprises here, it works as designed. One thing to note however is while it can be used as a usb-c to usb-c connector between devices, you're not going to get the full bandwidth capabilities of thunderbolt 3. Basically, it works, but it's slower for data transfer purchases. If you're just using it to charge (as it was primarily designed to do) then you're good.

Item was replacing iPad charging cord that was damaged. Cord was longer than I really wanted but the lighting cord does the job.

Nothing sucks more than having to buy a whole charger as a replacement when the wire goes bad. In this case, all I needed was a new wire instead of the power adapter as well.

Unfortunately apple for some reason only gives you short cables when you buy one of their products. This should be the minimum length that should come included.

Always buy the original Apple type c charging cord. I bought a cheaper cord and it didn’t last as long as my like the original one

A cable is a cable. As long as it does what it is suppose to do, i've got no complaints about it. It's long enough to channel it from the power adapter on the ground to my desk cable hole and to my MBP.

Just like the power adapter, the charge cable works. Seems well made.

I originally got this to use as an extra charging cable for my iPad Pro in my office. But it does not fit into the hole in my case to snap in properly, as the included iPad Pro cable does. I ended up using this for my MacBook Pro instead. Other than that, works well. Got it on sale for about $15, full price is way too much.
