It's a thunderbolt 2 cable, so it's really fast. Cable itself is high quality and doesn't get mangled (though the 1.6' length helps). Short length works great from my audio interface to my computer. I do wish these were cheaper.

Helped speed up switching to new iMac. Extra length helped connect machines.

I bought this cord so that I could make my MacBook Pro a second screen for my iMac but I found out it doesn't work that way. You can only make the iMac a second screen for the MacBook. Other then that the quality of the cord it awesome and I can tell that it will last me for a long while.

Worked as needed. It's a thunderbolt cable. Nice that it's twice the length of the regular cable.

I used this cable to hook up my laoptop with hard drive that was dying to my mac mini so that I could copy off files before it died. Worked great and pulled the files off quickly. I saved a file with about 12 hours of work that would have been lost. Highly recommend this thunderbolt cable.

Thunderbolt does what it should and fast. Solid cable, no cheap imitation here.

Cable performs exactly as expected, and the usual high quality of genuine Apple products. The cable is shorter than you think! I thought I'd like to have less extra cable on my desk, but I can't even connect my iMac (port on the back right) to my MacBook (port on the left) unless they are sitting next to each other with the ports facing. Go with the longer cable, it's worth it.

In the past it would take up to half a day to transfer data from old iMac to new iMac using target mode. I bought the Thunderbolt Cable and had my new iMac up and running with my old data is less than 2 hours. It was a flawless, high-speed transfer. Certainly worth every penny.

I like this cable. I also like USB3 because it does the same job. But what I really like about this cable is that it's for Apple, hence, a lot less overall hassle. I work with a lot of other peoples computers and Apple is a LOT LESS BUGGY! Thanks Steve Jobs!!!

I bought this cable to transfer all of the information/documents/pictures etc. from one macbook to another. Though it can be done via airdrop (or something like that) it was going to take 46 hours. Using this cable I made the transfer in 20 minutes.

It's a cable, it's fast, it's short and thus it's easy to travel with.

I have two Imacs about 5 feet apart sharing a single external drive. Was hard to find a Thunderbolt cable over 2 or 3 feet to get both connected and still be able to hide the wire. Got the last one on the shelf at Best Buy. Works great!

used this to migrate my entire user profile, programs, and documents from my iMac to new MacBook.. Took an hour or so and started using my new computer with everything looking identical to my Mac. Highly recommended.

I purchased this cable in order to backup my Mac from Time Machine. Over WiFi, the time to complete was stated as about 20 hours. With this cable it went down to 27 minutes! Not much else to say other than FAST.

I simply do not understand the fuss over USB-C when thunderbolt offers much faster transfers. Granted I sound like an Apple fan boy, but I do think at some level, thunderbolt is a more superior technology.

I recently upgraded to a new MacBook Pro and I finally have Thunderbolt capabilities. This cable was purchased to enable me to connect to the Thunderbolt devices that I am currently buying as I move my video production business into the future. The cable has performed excellent. It is super fast and super compatible. I wish the price point would come down a bit, but in a professional marketplace, I have grown accustomed to higher prices and you get what you pay for.
