I bought the AirPods Max (USB-C) in Midnight and have been using them daily for a mix of music, conference calls, and watching videos. I’m already in the Apple ecosystem (iPhone/Apple TV/Apple Watch), so I mainly wanted something that “just works” and sounds great.
How I use them
Music and podcasts at home and in the office
Zoom/Teams calls
Movies/shows on Apple TV
Occasional travel/errands for noise cancelling
Setup & Apple integration
Setup was basically instant—open the case near my iPhone and it paired immediately. Switching between devices is the big win: moving from iPhone to Apple TV or a Mac is simple and usually automatic. If you’re already in Apple’s ecosystem, these feel like a “plug and play” headset.
Sound quality
The sound is excellent—clean, detailed, and punchy without being muddy. Vocals come through clearly, and the bass has weight without overpowering everything. They’re also great at lower volumes, which I appreciate.
Noise cancelling & transparency
The Active Noise Cancelling is the best I’ve personally used. It cuts out constant noise (fans, HVAC, background hum) extremely well, and it’s strong enough that I catch myself forgetting how loud a room actually is. Transparency mode is equally impressive—when I turn it on, I can have a conversation without taking them off.
Comfort & fit
This is where it’s mixed:
The ear cups are soft and seal well
But the headset is noticeably heavy, and after long sessions I feel the weight more than other headphones
If you wear headphones for hours at a time, that weight may matter.
Calls & mic
For calls, they’ve been solid—people can hear me clearly and the noise cancelling helps in louder environments. I wouldn’t call it a studio mic, but it’s more than good enough for work calls.
Pros
Top-tier sound quality
Best-in-class noise cancelling
Transparency mode is amazing
Seamless Apple device switching
Premium build quality
Cons
Price is still hard to justify unless you’ll use them a lot
Heavier than most competitors
Case design is… not my favorite (but functional)
Bottom line
If you’re in the Apple ecosystem and want premium sound + the best ANC, AirPods Max deliver. If you’re cost-conscious or wear headphones all day, the price and weight are the main reasons to consider alternatives.

Exactly what I was expecting. The design is very pure, the sound quality is also great and the noise reduction feature is definitely more advanced than the one in the AirPods Pro.
I’ve heard that the sound quality is even better when plugged but haven’t tried it yet.
It’s also great for working out, it doesn’t slip.
Would definitely recommend!

These are genuinely great headphones. The AirPods Max deliver impressive sound quality with rich bass, clear highs, and a depth that makes everything sound full and immersive. The noise cancellation is amazing—it blocks out background noise even in really loud spaces, like busy cafés or on public transport, so you can just focus on what you’re listening to. The design feels premium, they’re super comfortable for long sessions, and the battery life has been solid with no issues so far. Whether it’s for music, calls, or just tuning out the world, for me , they’ve been totally worth it.

Excellent sound quality. Seamlessly integrated with all of my apple products. Great battery life. Noise canceling is top tier. Like all headphones, you do need to hardwire it to your device for the best sound quality. Day to day functionality not the greatest due to size and inability to turn off without specific case. And the case you get for it will be big/clunky. Probably not wise to travel with it without a case. Not a practical day to day experience if you leave your house for work but great listening experience for your leisure

Easy to use and very comfortable. Sound quality is good but not the best I have heard and they don’t seem to get really loud, if you like to listen to your music like that. The noise cancelation works really well and battery life is also good.

The Apple AirPods Max are easily the best headphones I’ve ever owned. The sound quality is incredibly clear and balanced, with deep bass, crisp highs, and amazing detail that makes every song feel immersive. The Active Noise Cancellation works flawlessly, blocking out background noise so you can fully focus on your music, movies, or calls.
The build quality is also top-tier. The materials feel premium and durable, and the design is sleek and comfortable even during long listening sessions. The ear cushions are soft, and the headband distributes weight nicely, so they don’t feel heavy like some over-ear headphones.
Another standout feature is the Spatial Audio, which creates a surround-sound-like experience that makes movies and music feel more dynamic. Pairing with Apple devices is instant and seamless, making them super convenient to use.

I absolutely love these AirPods Max! I use them daily for work - listening to music in the office and taking Zoom calls - and they've exceeded my expectations.
Having owned both the Sonos Ace and Sony XM4, I can say each has its strengths. The Sony might edge out slightly on pure sound quality, and the Sonos Ace definitely looks sleeker and feels a bit more comfortable for long sessions. But what makes the AirPods Max my go-to choice is the incredible transparency mode.
This feature is honestly a killer differentiator. Unlike other headphones I've owned, I don't feel muffled or disconnected when speaking on calls. The transparency mode lets me hear my own voice naturally, which makes video calls so much more comfortable and natural. It's one of those features you don't realize you need until you have it.
The audio quality is excellent for both music and calls, and the microphone performance is consistently clear for my colleagues. I also really appreciate having physical buttons rather than relying solely on touch controls - they're more reliable and easier to use without looking.

On the comfort side, they feel premium, but man, they are heavy. I can wear them for a few hours, but I definitely feel the weight on my neck by the end of the day. Battery life has been solid enough for my daily commute, getting me through about 20 hours, though I really wish there was a proper power button instead of relying on the case!

I love these AirPods Max in purple — the sound quality is unreal, with rich, clear audio and noise cancellation that really blocks out everything around you. They’re comfy for long listening sessions, the battery lasts a long time, and they pair instantly with my Apple gear. And honestly, the purple color is beautiful — it’s subtle but stands out in a classy way and gives them a fun, fresh look that’s way nicer than plain black or gray

I think the best part about this headset is actually the convenience if you are in the apple ecosystem. I work on a Macbook, have an iphone, and occasionally use my ipad. I tried other headsets like the Sony and Bose and they are more comfortable to wear but the inconvenience of having to resync throughout the day when switching devices added up when you switch between devices as much as I do.
Being able to see a call come through on your iphone and answer it whiel on your Mac and the headset to immediately switch between devices is very convenient throughout the work day. Same when you're on your iphone and switch back to Macbook for a online meeting.
Battery life is great, charging is fast, and sound and noise cancelling all perform well. Compared to Bose and Sony I would say it's good enough and the convenience being in the Apple ecosystem makes this headset the best for me.
4 stars instead of 5 is for comfort. Compared to the others this is a heavy headset and not as comfortable as the Bose or Sony.

Apple headphones, particularly the AirPods and AirPods Pro, consistently receive high praise for their design, sound quality, and integration within the Apple ecosystem. The sleek design offers a comfortable fit, making them ideal for prolonged use.
The sound quality is impressive, with rich bass and clear highs, creating a satisfying audio experience across various genres. Active Noise Cancellation in the AirPods Pro effectively blocks out background sounds, enhancing focus during listening sessions.
Battery life is commendable, with quick charging capabilities ensuring they’re always ready for use. The seamless connectivity with Apple devices provides an added level of convenience.
Overall, Apple’s headphones are a top choice for users seeking a premium audio experience, excellent build quality, and effortless device integration, making them a worthwhile investment for both casual listeners and audiophiles alike.

The Apple AirPods Max are a remarkable addition to the high-end headphone market, combining advanced technology with sleek design. One of their standout features is the exceptional sound quality; the audio is rich, balanced, and detailed across various genres. The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is equally impressive, effectively blocking out ambient noise for an immersive listening experience.
Comfort is another strong point, thanks to the memory foam ear cushions and breathable knit mesh canopy, allowing for long listening sessions without discomfort. The intuitive controls make it easy to manage playback and calls. Battery life is impressive, offering up to 20 hours with ANC activated.
However, the price point may be a barrier for some, as they are positioned within the premium range. Overall, the Apple AirPods Max deliver an outstanding audio experience, making them a worthy investment for audiophiles and Apple enthusiasts alike.

Comfortable and very good looking headphone. The headphone is a little bit heavy but not too bad. The sound quality and anc is very good. I would recommend this headphone.

Great sound quality. No other mainstream headphones can compare to the AirPod Max when it comes to clarity in music and movies because of apples Spatial Audio feature. The Apple ecosystem is elite in my opinion. These headphones connect automatically and the quick switch between multiple devices is impressive. The clarity of voices in movies is trippy with Spatial Audio, sounds like they’re talking around you/to you. I love the new lossless audio update through USB C connection, great for enjoying the highest quality music for the average consumer. For casual, mainstream headphones, it’s impressive what they can do. The ANC is extremely impressive as well, helps with airplane noise, traffic noise, etc. I also haven’t had any problems with the battery life either. They last a good amount before having to charge them again. They are on the heavy side but I’m able to adjust, the weight can be an issue for some people though. Another great feature is the magnetic earcups, easy to attach and detach if there’s condensation build up.

The Apple AirPods Max are easily the best headphones I’ve ever owned. The sound quality is phenomenal… rich bass, clear mids, and crisp highs that make everything from music to podcasts sound incredible. The Active Noise Cancellation is next-level; it blocks out background noise effortlessly, making these perfect for travel, work, or just zoning out at home.
The build quality feels premium, from the aluminum ear cups to the breathable mesh headband, every detail screams luxury. And even though they’re larger than other headphones I’ve used, they’re surprisingly comfortable for long listening sessions.
Transparency mode is a game-changer too, being able to hear your surroundings without taking them off is incredibly useful. Pairing with Apple devices is seamless, and the spatial audio feature makes movies and music more immersive than ever.
Yes, they’re pricey, but if you value sound quality, comfort, and craftsmanship, the AirPods Max absolutely deliver.

The AirPods Max are absolutely worth it. The sound quality is incredible, very clear, balanced, and immersive. Noise cancellation works extremely well, and transparency mode feels very natural. They are also very comfortable, even when wearing them for long periods of time. The build quality feels premium, and they pair seamlessly with Apple devices

Let me start by saying I own the AirPods Pro earbuds and have always loved the sound quality, and noise cancelling—which are both unrivaled in my opinion. I didn’t necessarily NEED the AirPods Pro Max, but I felt like it would fulfill a different function that my every day carry which were the AirPods Pro. Well, these have become my every day carry and have practically rendered my AirPods Pro obsolete.
I wear these everywhere. The grocery store, the gym, to work, on my walks with my dogs, even sometimes while I’m sitting at home just because they are so comfortable and the sound is great. I even connected them to my Samsung TV to watch Wicked so the sound was right with me, and it made the viewing experience incredible!
They are comfortable, easy to store, have an amazing battery life, and are of the highest quality (as we should expect by now from Apple). The controls are intuitive and simple, but most importantly EFFECTIVE. One thing I never really got the hand of with the ear buds was how to remember to switch audio modes, or pause or play, or even skip songs. With the Pro Max, it is so easy and intuitive with the dedicated button and crown. It makes it so that I can be in public and easily switch between modes when I need to converse with somebody, or might need to be more aware of my surroundings. And you can pause the music with just a push of the Digital Crown. And resume with another push.
These are so worth the price. I would never consider spending any amount of money on another over the ear headphone set, knowing that this is the pinnacle. It doesn’t get any better.

I thought AirPods Max would just be “nice headphones.” I was wrong. These things don’t just play music — they transport me. I put them on and suddenly Billie Eilish is whispering directly into my brain while Mozart politely waits his turn in the lobby.
The noise cancellation? Let’s just say my neighbor could be starting a chainsaw, arguing with his parrot, and frying bacon all at once — and I’d still be vibing to Fleetwood Mac in blissful ignorance.
Comfort? Like strapping two velvet marshmallows to the side of my head. Battery life? Long enough that I forget they even need charging until my phone screams at me.
Are they expensive? Yes. Do I regret it? Absolutely not. I’d sell a kidney on Facebook Marketplace before giving these up.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Would let them adopt me if possible.
