    Its the Apps

The iPad wouldn't be anything without the apps to go with it. Apple developers design some of the most user-friendly but comprehensive apps for anything. Whether you are a professional on the job and need to use the iPad for work, or a kid at heart with games, the iPad is great. I enjoy reading news and books on it a lot as the screen is quite responsive.

Love I can have the Internet almost anywhere.

I originally got this so I could access my e-mail/Internet whenever & where ever and "smartphone" screens are too small for me to see/read. I'm very happy with its overall performance and am a big fan...this is my 2nd one within a year(1st one was stolen). The one thing I'd like changed is for the ability to use/stream FLASH videos.

I loved the original. The ipad 2 is even better. I think is it necessary for school. I have all of my books on it. My 4 year old loves it also. The apps for kids are great. She learns a lot using the ipad 2. I still hate the name though. Ipad, really?!?!?!

    Screen Bleeding!

Ok here is the deal, it is a great product do not get me wrong, but there is some "screen bleeding". If you download or go to a all black screen(just google one, save it, then open it) and turn the brightness up. In a dark room you will see where light is visible through the sides of the screen. (Almost looks like finger prints) Other than that great device!

Noticably smaller but functions the same.

I brought this for my mother and she loves it. It's easier to carry because it's smaller and she still has all the great features and functions of the larger sized Ipad. Overall it functions just like the older models it's just smaller and more compact. I have the larger size and I prefer the bigger screen but it is harder to tote around than the mini. Overall a good buy.

If your Going 3G - GO VERIZON

I bought a AT&T 3G iPad first because it was available open box, it was awful. Worse than the phone service that iPad couldn't keep signal down the interstate. We switched to a Verizon 3G and have not had one issue since. I think you should consider using your iPhone's built in Hotspot and just buy a WIFI enabled ipad to save money.

I am very happy with my iPad 2.It's very easy to use, so much so that my wife has taken it over. It's not a bad thing. It's nice that we can take it anywhere with ease. Just love it.

    Purchased as a gift

I bought it as a gift & she loves it. Personally I don't care for the screen resolution & I hate Apple's greed factor in designing proprietary ports & inputs requiring accessories only made by Apple. I wouldn't buy this for myself. If it was for me, I'd want USB & HDMI to be built into the tablet, giving me the freedom to plug in whatever I want without limitations or specialized adapters. But it's not for me. The recipient of the iPad 2 is thrilled & loves it.

Screen kept going crazy on its own

The packaging is elegant, so is the beauty of the machine. Almost immediately after taking it out of the box the screen started going crazy, writing random characters on the screen. The only way the machine would work properly was by placing it flat on a table and not moving the ipad at all while typing on it. Internet use was to be the only purpose for us with the iPad; however, the software presented too many problems, especialy when one considers the high cost of the item. We returned the iPad and purchased two netbooks from BestBuy and still came out cheaper than the single iPad. The netbooks also have a more powerful processor and expandable memory, and an easier keyboard to type on. Due to the screen problems, which could have been resolved by exchanging it for a different iPad, we are sticking with netbooks for lightweight websurfing. We have high end custom gaming rigs for our computer, but wanted a small machine for using things like EQ2 Wiki, and light web surfing. In short we were dissapointed with the iPad experience.

    The only choice

Thus is my 1st Apple product. It works well. Great customer support. It does what I wanted it to do and more. Expensive, but worth it. There are other options out there but this is a no brainer - the Ipad has the best of everything.

    back to the pad

bought this initially and then returned when the news release about the Kindle Fire came out. Bought the Fire. Ick. Did not like the interface so I came back to the Pad. Reasons for lower rating on value is the iPad IS EXPENSIVE. Rated features good not excellent becase it lacks Adobe Flash. I really liked the size of the Kindle (7 inch). If Apple ever comes out with a 7 inch with Adobe, I'll buy the first one I see.

This is the best iPad so far and the best tablet I have ever used. The Verizon service is great too. So much faster than my iPhone or iPad1 on at&t.

    Cutting edge obsolete

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

1: You can't upgrade the hardware period. 2: Aparently there will be no flash EVER! 3: Any and all service that is needed to include the replacement of the batteries must be done by Apple. 4: Since you can't upgrade the hardware you are stuck with 3G even though the wireless providers are spending billions upgrading their towers to 4G. Since 4G can be up to 10 times faster than 3G why buy the iPad2 when they will be forced to make the iPad3 in a few months. 5: No USB or SD memory ports. Any and all data must be sent Through wireless or through a direct connection to the computer. New tablets are flooding the market and iPad won't even be a contender in a few months.

This product is everything and more as described. It is very light with great battery life. The original setup was less than 5 minutes. The setup did not require me to read the manual or research any information. Very user friendly, I have enjoyed this purchase and will continue.
