I got angry at cell phone companies, primarily the pricing, and the alleged accidents, that cost, then the consequent bad service, so I turned to a popular video-chat provider, and use their $2.99 unlimited calling plan, that people cannot call you, but is a tiny fraction of the going rate of cell calling plans. So, I just pay Verizen forty a month for data, and voila! I use the wi-fi for free, and use the cellular (2GB) sparingly, and you can switch with the swipe of a finger back or forth. I'm getting used to it, after about 5 weeks of having it, and starting to feel quite comfortable. Tablets rule, as a third computer... I have an old Compaq desktop, directly connected to the cable-modem, along with the wireless router, which I use my Dell all-in-one with in the bedroom, and the tablets the portable! A major selling point was the high resolution cameras, since I am interested in photography. Otherwise, Samsung had caught my eye, for quality.

The iPad mini: You get just what you would expect. It's exactly like a regular iPad, but shrunk down in size. I particularly appreciate the fact that while the entire product has been made smaller, including the screen, it isn't a proportional shrinkage. When compared to the full sized iPads, the bezel on the mini is much thinner. The design is sleek and comfortable, because it's Apple. It's more expensive than any comparable competitor's products, because it's Apple. It runs iOS just like every other Apple handheld product on the market, and any apps you have pretty seamlessly transfer over to the mini. You definitely pay a premium for an Apple product. For some people it's worth it, for other people it isn't. In my opinion, if you are a novice with very little technical experience, you will be more likely to pick up the operation of the iPad than most other tablets. If you are a particularly technical user, you probably already know if this product is for you or not. One gripe that I have to include: In reading reviews before I bought the mini, I saw people complaining about the resolution of the screen. When I went into the store and played with it, I said "This looks great, retina-shmetina." After having bought and put some hours on the mini, I fully admit: I wish this had the retina display. I think it's particularly noticeable because I have an iPhone 5. If I'm doing something on my phone for a while, and then go to grab the iPad, the resolution is noticeably terrible until my eyes adjust. On average, this doesn't make the product particularly unenjoyable, but I figured it was worth mentioning/reiterating.

Great device for anyone iPads keep it simple for everyone whether for fun, work or anything in between!

Light weight, perfect size to hold with one hand or two and has perfect resolution. It has almost completely taken the place of my computer and fits perfectly in my little purse. It is a great new addition to my tech devices..

I am not just a technological novice, I am pretty much a technological idiot... And I can do this. Love the unlimited uses. Love that its big enough for me to easily see, but still fits in my purse. I know I still have so much to learn, but look forward to doing so.

Apple products speak for themselves... I think they are the best at what they do. This iPad mini is convenient, small and super fast. Reccomended to anyone. I also have a galaxy tablet hate it, iPad mini is way better specially I'd you tech savvy!

It's the perfect size for a student, handy to slip into a bag or purse.

This is one of the greatest toys I have ever had. It is just the right size for a woman and you can do almost anything with it such as watch movies, take pictures, read, email, facebook, play games, check the weather, gps, and on and on. Love it!!

Great product for purses. Lightweight, compact, could have been cheaper despite it being an apple product.

I put this purchase off for a very long time, not wanting to "give in" to the tablet generation. But commuting on the LIRR over four hours a day made it a necessity (that's what I tell myself). The IPad mini is lightweight and easily fits into my handbag. It is a wonderful invention. I don't play video games, but I do play Word with Friends, cards and slots. I find the graphics clear and colorful. The Nook application makes it possible for me to read my books, both purchased and borrowed from my local library. I have my magazine and newspaper subscriptions loaded. Everything is in vivid color and easy to read. And I can listen to my Rhapsody music as I read and play. And two weeks ago when I was sick in bed I was able to surf the internet without getting out of bed. Oh yes, I do love my IPad Mini!

I have since purchased 2 more mini iPads and love mine. My son loves his. His laptop broke but am not going to replace it. He will take his mini to his college classes. Going to get a wireless printer soon to use with the mini. We bought Otterboxes for them and they are the best. Bought a keyboard that was a Zigzagg but had to return it because all the keys didn't work. I thought it would be necessary if you typed very much but the key board on the mini is easy to use and have since decided it isn't necessary.

Super sharp picture displays apps, maps, websites so beautifully, even the iPad mini is a pleasure to use. Not being an Apple fan particularly I worried about operating system oddities: nothing I couldn't figure out pretty quickly. I'm still learning to keep my thick fingers off the sensitive surfaces...the unexpected navigation occasionally offends. I'm getting the hang of it; well worth the effort.

I bought this I-pad mini for my wife and she uses it in the morning to check her email, surf the web, and do all the things she would have normally used her laptop for. But she also carries it with us on the road and is able to do just about anything that we can do on a home computer from anyplace we go. This is a great replacement for a laptop for most applications. The one drawback is if we log onto our company's software it doesn't process properly because it was designed for windows. Now I am considering buying another just like this one for myself because I like hers so much.

Excellent user interface. Jewel like quality. Apps are great. Faster than. I expected. 3G. without contract is. useful. Screen is. better than I feared.

I really enjoy my IiPad Mini. It's small enough so I can take it anywhere I go. It is very easy to use. It is expensive but you are paying for the best.

Compact and very portable. I use with a keyboard made for the mini.

I had to use my phone to watch movies, play games, and talk with my friends. Now I can kick back and relax.

iPad is great in general; I love the size of the mini. Easy to carry around when outside the home.

This is the perfect tablet for someone who is constantly working in the field. With the Verizon connection it really makes it worth it.

Overall the iPad has been a GREAT choice its portable and RUNS GREAT and has really good games and tools to use when taking pictures!!
