I really like this IPAD. I can check email, play games, log onto Facebook, and just about anything else. I can usually play games on it for some time before the battery goes low. The only drawback for me is that it is a little heavy if you have any kind of arthritis, etc. in your hands. I have to use a pillow to support it because it gets too heavy. Other than that, I really really think it's great.

This was my first iPad purchase ever. I purchased this in April 2012, and have long since given this to my wife to have. Although the battery gets low fast, and the sound doesn’t work anymore (my wife uses a Bluetooth speaker with it), she still runs! I’ve offered to buy my wife the newest iPad available, she refuses and says this one is just fine. I guess we’ll just keep rockin’ on, then!

I like using the IPad, better than my laptop. It's smaller yet easier to see than my IPhone and I can still get 4G service wherever I am.

A perfect upgrade of my laptop computer. The iPad handles all of my work applications, it is fast, small and user friendly. Having the Apple support is the cherry on top!

We love this item. Great for kids to do homework, entertain a 2 year old with all the apps, fast and portable to internet.

Bought it for my boyfriend to use for work since his laptop is dieing slowing. Now he is able to do more and even faster!

I bought it for myself to use in grad school, but I cant get it away from my husband!. I guess I need to buy another one.... Also I first purchased the one without 3G and took it back. because I was surprised how many times I needed the 3G capabiltiy to ensure that I always have access to the internet.

I love the retina display. It took me a few days to appreciate the upgrades from the iPad 2.

I have a first gen ipad and this one seems much more responsive. Easy to use and setup.

This is a good device. The only thing I don't like is there is no USB port and you can't browse and access a network

It is a game changer. Best Buy has all the models. Little use for a laptop anymore.

New iPad is fantastic! Best money I've spent on a gadget. Although it was more of a want than a need, I am finding I use it so often that I did really need it!! Much easier to catch up with friends & family, and be productive without always turning on my laptop. I can view the weather & news quickly or read a chapter in my latest book - all in one place. Haven't turned on my eReader since I bought it. Perfect for traveling with maps & guidebooks ready to view. Great apps for cooking, too. Probably should have purchased the 64GB but I wouldn't recommend lower than 32GB. Retina display is pretty awesome.

Everything is great. The screen is better than my 1st generation ipad. Upgrading to the 4G wireless is great. The only downside I have noticed is the battery life is much less than my old ipad. To be fair, it must be because of the 4G connectivity. It would be great if it knew when I was on a wifi network and would turn off the 4G automatically. Somebody make an app please.

This is my third iPad. Yes, I know. Let's break it down for those considering a new or used iPad. The new iPad has a better display but a worse battery life than ipad2. As they suggest, turn off any location services or updates to your apps until maybe one day a week. Turn down the brightness also to save more on your battery life. Download a free instruction manual or the $1.99 manual to use the new iPad in iBooks so you know how to use all aspects of this tablet. Yes, the battery is much warmer on this new iPad from long use -- get a cover for the rear of it. It still does not have Flash so some sites such as Pogo.com does not work on Safari but there is a Pogo app. The ease of use is the benefit all the iPads because my own digitally challenged, elderly parents can use it. It has become my third "body" appendage because I carry it everywhere I go. Yes, this iPad is lighter weight than the first generation and you can dictate your entire review as I have done with this new iPad. By the way, if you upgrade to this iPad or from your iPhone, you can download all of your apps, music, books, etc., in record time by WiFi through ICloud instead of connecting through another computer to iTunes to download your items.
