I purchased this iPad with the intent of using it for business purposes-taking it on the road instead of lugging a notebook computer. It could serve this purpose if you buy a keyboard case and a few dollars worth of Apple or other office applications. The retina display is beautiful, excellent for watching movies via streaming video during during leisure time. The tablet display size makes such a difference when reading email and using other applications that are made especially for the iPad (vs. an iPhone app that you view at 2x size). If you have a smartphone hotspot, a portable hotspot, or nearly always have Wi-Fi available, just purchase the Wi-Fi version and save yourself the extra cost of Wi-Fi plus 4G. If buying a new iPad today, get the 4th generation version one--it's the same retail price as the 3rd generation iPad, with the new, faster processor. .

The Apple iPad 3rd gen with retina display is an amazing product, with beautiful screen resolution, long battery life, it is easy to use and master, fast speed to turn on and load, plenty of applications to try, easy to transport, very dependable.

It's great, easy to setup and use, great color and display, thinking about buying another in the future. I wish apple would add a micro sd card slot and flash player support.

I have wanted an iPad for a long time. I have been patient waiting for a great deal on a 3rd or 4th generation version. So when this iPad went on a big sale, I jumped on it. Overall it is great. Screen is amazing, typing on it is easier than expected and it is so nice to have a device that I can open and be online, checking email, playing a game, etc much faster than on my laptop. It is great for my 4 year old, although I don't let her be on it without me holding it, as it has some really nice apps, and books for her. Bottom line, don't let anyone tell you that a kindle fire is like an iPad, it is not. It is so much more. The fire may be right for some but if you want the best, get an iPad

Significant improvement of 1st gen. Still the standard for tablets. Spectacular screen. Intuitive & easy to use.

I purchased this Ipad 3 64gb w/Verizon card on Best buys open box table. At first I was hesitant, but the manager assured me I could return it if I had any problems. And because I am a Silver Premier member I had 60 days if I want to return it. The Geek Squad associates were even kind enough to open up the package and let me inspect it. I am very happy with this purchase and would buy it again.

I love this ipad. It's a little slower then the ipad 4 but I honestly don't notice the difference. The battery life isn't that great and it seems to take a long time to charge but its not really a problem for me.

I really liked my ipad, its easy to use and connects easily to my personal hotspot. iCloud linked my apps which is great, i can play on eaither device.

It's an ipad for goodness sake. Everything is great about it. I had 16g but with 64g everything was accommodated and lot of space left.

Got iPad 3 on clearance sale. Top model with 64G and 4G for about $545. Can't beat that
