Great phone. Decided to upgrade from the iPhone 4. This is bigger, lighter, and faster. What's not to like?

Absolutely love it! -- former Android captive

My husband and I are on opposite sides of all the major diametric battles -- Pepsi vs. Coke, Apple vs. Microsoft, Kirk vs. Picard, Night vs. Day, -- and now i can emphatically add: iPhone over Android. No contest. My husband forced me into the Android market years ago, causing me to suffer with a smartphone that made me feel stupid. The iPhone, however, has made me realize that it wasn't me; it was the dull, illogical, nonsensical platform that I was saddled with. I fought the Android phone for months (never winning certain battles), but I took to the iPhone within minutes! Suddenly everything made SENSE, and every new functionality I discovered was like getting a little gift! It was as if I was one of Plato's prisoners, freed from the cave... out of the shadows and into the light! The iPhone is what a smartphone should be: smart, intuitive and infinitely customizable. The basic functions are well-designed and user instructions are plainly written. Navigation features are especially brilliant; you can get anywhere from here! Technical support is great, plus you get a huge fan base that is collaborative and extremely helpful as well. My husband accuses me of having "gone over to the Dark Side"... but that's coming from a caveman. Thanks for rescuing me, Apple!

I had a Windows phone prior, but was sick of the limited apps available. Apple has fantastic apps. The battery life of this phone is fantastic. The screen is amazing and I love the intuitiveness of the interface. Even the quality of the camera is fabulous, I sometimes can't even believe how crisp and clear the photos turn out. I love everything about this phone and I'm so glad I converted to an iPhone. I highly recommend it.

The battery discharges quickly, but does recharge quickly. The pictures taken are beautiful. The whole phone has an upgraded look. Slimmer than a 4 or 4S.

Was time to upgrade my iPhone 4S and wanted a bit larger screen without having to relearn a new phone. Overall it's a bit larger (longer) picture seems a little clearer as well. Functionality is the same and was able to move my pics and contacts from one phone to the other in store (with help from the sales guy). Battery gets drained faster than the 4s did but I seem to use this one more. The keyboard, while the same layout doesn't respond the same as my last one. Most of the time it's fine but maybe a bit too touchy.

I thought the iPhone 4S was a great product. Just recently upgraded to the iPhone 5 and appreciate the differences. The battery life is a definite improvement, love the larger screen and the lighter weight. If you have used a previous model iPhone you will love the iPhone 5; especially since there have been a few software revisions since it's initial release.

With my frustration level rising due to the poor battery life on my Android phone, I started doing some research. Everything pointed to an iPhone: great apps, great battery life; great picture quality - and yes, a great phone as well. I decided on the iPhone 5 and have never looked back. Easy to use. Syncs with all my electronic gear - I'm one happy grandma!

I really like this phone. I previously had a Samsung Fascinate using Android and I quickly came to dislike the phone and the Android platform. It started locking up occassionally and was extremely annoying when it was during a call. While I had my Android under contract, we purchased a couple of iPads, an AppleTV and was given a Macbook as a hand me down. In short, I feel in love with the Apple's iOS and how everything smoothly integrated with each other, especially iTunes and iMessage. I was counting down to when I could get a new iPhone and leave my Android behind. Now that I have, I'm loving it. The only minor criticisms I have are the price (although I got a $50 discount from BB), the battery life and iMaps. Let's face it, Apple overcharges for its products but people like me take it because it just works..but I'll ding them anyway. The battery life is certainly better than my droid but not as good as my iPad. Not horrible, but not great either. Relative to iMaps, my criticism there isn't what you think. I haven't gotten wrong directions...yet. What I don't like about it is that it doesn't work with the bluetooth in your car like Google maps. That wouldn't be so bad except that you can't change the default GPS app. Not sure what the big deal was when developing this, since Apple made Siri work on bluetooth. Other than that, I really do like this phone and would recommend it to anyone facing a choice between an iPhone and a Droid.

Upgrade when BB was having the trade in deal & happy with the purchase. I upgraded from the 4 & wasn't sure if I should wait for the 5S or 6 to come out but decided to upgrade & I'm happy with the decision. Great screen quality, slim, light weight & does everything needed for a iPhone. I would highly recommend if your on the fence to upgrade or wait.

I upgraded from a 4 and this by far is much faster and more responsive on the 'touch' than the four. The 4G is super nice and the internet is much faster and quicker than it was with the 4. The size of the screen is great if you are using a program that will utilize the complete 4' screen. I don't like the fact Apple had to change the head of the charger. Had to purchase an accessorie to make it work with Ihome and car charger. I also don't like where the headphone jack is located.

This is the best iphone so far. The larger screen is the least of the improvements. The call clarity is amazing. I love the vids recorded through the new lens. Pictures are almost the same as the 4s. Speakers are great. I am super happy with this phone. Oh, and it runs IOS which never crashes, freezes or needs to be restarted. AWESOME.

This phone is great. I love the map app that uses your location to give you directions to where you want to go. The sound system is good- great speakers to hear music. It is fast- it downloads videos quickly and is easy to use. The camera is also very good. Pictures are clear and with iCloud, you can have them uploaded quickly.

I have been in the smart phone market for less than 3 years. I had an old LG flip phone before getting my Samsung Droid Charge. I loved it in the beginning. Then began the glitches and such that come with Droid phones, along with poor battery life. I couldn't wait to get rid of that thing. Then my upgrade came and I decided not to get another Droid due to my experience with them. I got the iPhone 5 and have no complaints at all. It is easy to use, the touch screen is so much more responsive. I don't mind that the screen is much smaller than Droids, that's what my iPad is for. The camera is so quick to take a picture, as compared to my Droid (which took like 3 seconds to focus and then capture). I like that I dont have to have Google play and stream in order to listen to my iTunes music. The navigation is so much more intuitive and easy to use compare to Google Navigation, which is a plus. Overall, I am very pleased. I gave a 4 in sound quality because with my Camo OtterBox, I have to position the phone just right in order to hear well. Other than that it is the best phone i have ever had.

In general, I like the phone. Siri is great, and the sleek design is nice. It's noticeably faster than the prior generation, and the battery lasts a good long time. I'm a little disappointed in that the phone is longer, which makes it bulkier to carry. I also has some of the dropped calls and freezing up that the earlier phone did. The new adapter is a real pain, because now I need to buy more back-up adapters. All said, though, worth it to me.

Admittedly, the phone looks small next to some Androids in the store, but this phone is the perfect size - and I have BIG hands. Internet is unbelievably fast, the display is ridiculously clear. Siri good - limited at times, but very useful. I could not be happier than I am now with this purchase.

Love this phone. Bought it to replace the 4S which I gave to my son. Love the larger screen. Takes great photos and most times they are better than my regular camera. I will be getting my husband and son a new phone when it's upgrade time and it will definitely be an iPhone 5.
