I've left the Android market and got my first iPhone which was the 6. No major changes, my previous phones have always been attracted to water so being water "resistant" is a comforting feature. I rarely use the headphone jack but there is a work around if you don't want to use the lighting port, I got a Bluetooth adapter to use my old noise canceling headphones. This frees up the port for charging the phone. The phone itself does come with a lightning to 8mm adapter as well as a set of lighting port headphones. Like the Taptic touch. Better camera always a plus.

Time to upgrade from my two year old iPhone 6. Eazy upgrade, just enter your appleID and everything was automatically installed on the new phone....contacts, notes, Apps, music, and photos. The iPhone 7 is noticeably faster, and with 128gb I have plenty of room to grow my music library. The only con I have is you cannot charge the phone and listen to music with the included wired earbuds. But If you have Bluetooth headphones or buds not an issue, you can charge while listening to music.

I got the iphone 8 first and then switched to iphone 7 after realizing the new one was too much outside of my budget. seems to have no real major differences. great camera and battery life too.

iphone 7 has far better performance than iphone 6. It seems it is using some encryption mechanism while storing photos, i am not getting out of storage warnings that i was getting in iphone 6.

I switched to iPhones when the 5 came out a few years ago and have never had an issue. I upgraded to an iPhone 6 and loved it but kept running out of storage. When I tried to buy a 6 with more storage they were unavailable so I decided to get the iPhone 7. It works just as well as my previous Apple phones but I HATE what they did with the headphones. Not only do they advertise as if you are going to get Bluetooth headphones (which I didn’t want anyway) which you don’t but they give you one messily adapter that is so small I’m afraid I’m going to lose it. Add to that you cannot plug headphones in and charge your phone at the same time. The icing on the terrible cake is that I also have a Mac which I used to love because I could seamlessly transfer from one device to the other. Now I either have to always have my adapter on have one set of headphones for my laptop and one set for my phone. This is a huge inconvenience for me because I regularly need headphones at both school and work. This makes the iPhone 7 a subpar product in my opinion which is why it gets a 4 instead of a 50

the lack of a headphone jack was a complete non-issue for me. Any "headphone" listening that I do is via Bluetooth. This phone is fast, has a greatly increased battery life (I was originally considering a battery incorporated case, like a Morphie or Apple's brand case, for extra battery life) but after a half marathon with Nike Run Club app as my GPS and Spotify as my music stream (and a slow 2 hr 30 min finish) I still had 85% battery still left. My iPhone 6 would have died at mile 10! And the Touch ID is MUCH improved; responds almost instantly. I had decided that the TouchID on the iPhone 6 was almost more trouble than it was worth; it would fail to recognize my fingerprint at least 25% of the time, so after three or four "Try Again" prompts, I would tap in the 7 digit access code. As more Apps become TouchID aware, this is a huge benefit! So if you're on the fence as to whether an upgrade is worth it, make the leap --> you won't be disappointed!

This is my third apple iPhone in a row after having been an android user and I have not been disappointed. The 7 is very similar to the 6, almost to the point the average user wouldn't know the difference, but it definitely runs faster and smoother. The camera is very clear and functional and you can tell is upgraded from the previous version. Love the size and responsiveness of this phone. Overall a great product.

For me, I was upgrading from an old iPhone 4S that was old faithful. As much as I loved that 4S, the iPhone 7 is light years ahead of it. Better in every way. Lighter, faster, and I can go days without charging. Backing up my old phone to iCloud and transferring it to my new phone was perfectly painless. Everything from my notes, to calendar, to contacts, to camera roll transferred flawlessly.

Apple has perfected an already great phone. I upgraded from the iPhone 6. Not much is different - the screen is a lot brighter / sharper, no headphone jack (I actually prefer it), battery life is great, and the biggest change is how fast this phone is! I was amazed at how much faster it was than the 6. Not worth the upgrade if you have the 6s-- but definitely worth the upgrade from the 6!

I know there's been much grumbling about the 7 series, but I love it. Don't miss the headphone jack. As usual, the phone its self feels solid and well made. Love the new haptic home button! As far as if the camera, over all speed etc are better or faster than the previous model, I'd say it's not ground breaking, but there's a slight difference for the better. Over all love the new model!!

Switched from the iPhone 5. Compared the camera and upgraded speaker to the 6s in the store and was impressed. I knew I'd be impressed just comparing to my phone but was on the fence with spending the additional money. If you already have the 6s it wouldn't be worth it. I hope not to test the water resistance feature but comforting to know it's there. The headphone jack isn't a factor. Downside: just returned from CA where the reception wasn't great. I noticed a significant decrease in battery life due to this so something to keep in mind. The aluminum backing is still slick so get a cover or risk dropping it.

The iPhone 7 is an awesome phone to get. I was a little undecided on getting the phone due to not owning an iPhone before. I went with my guts and actually liked the phone a lot! The pros of the phone is that it runs really smooth, camera is amazing, and the color of the phone is simply astonishing. The only con would be the price. Overall it's a great phone and easy to use.

Here are the noticeable improvements over the iPhone 5S I had before moving up to the 7: 1) Musch better camera, especially for portraits and in museums. The previous iPhones had real trouble adjusting to the variable and low lighting in museums and other indoor settings. My recent visit to an art museum was much less frustrating with this new phone - wonderful pics and did not have to fuss with the exposures or focus at all. 2) Many apps are running better now and not getting hung up as often. This could have to do with the fact that my memory was almost full in my old phone... they are also updating more smoothly. 3) The touch screen seems more sensitive, in addition to having the "press" function built in. 4) The sound is fabulous - both in listening to phone calls and in playing music. I was truly shocked with the difference when I got my first phone call. You can also get much more volume out of the built-in speakers without distortion. 5) Although I have small hands, the iPhone 7 fits comfortably due to being thinner, even though it is wider than the 5. I was concerned about this, but I have even added a thin case and have no trouble. 6) I am appreciating the slightly larger screen, even though I thought it would not make much difference.

I am still getting used to my iPhone 7. I like it but it is different from my 5. It has lots of great features clearer sound, great pictures, more data space... it is also very sensitive to movement which is where I am having some difficulty. I touch it and it lights up. I have to be careful how I touch because it will turn on and stay on. It is a little bigger than I like but the smaller size is not available. It's battery life is great and it charges quickly when I need to charge it.its a good phone... I just need to get used to its features.
