I was looking for an alternative to replace an old Levono/IBM laptop and didn't want to deal with Windows 10. Decided on the Macbook. Slight learning curve trying to convert Windows to Mac shortcuts but performance and usability is really nice.

Although a computer like this has obvious limitations, I think this computer feels great and is wonderfully light and useful. The Core M chip inside runs all the apps I need and the portability and screen sharpness alone are highly worthwhile.

I love my new MacBook and it's small footprint. I shopped for a month and kept coming back to Best Buy, where I eventually purchased my new Mac. I did it online and picked it up several days later. So easy and the best price I found.

Good value MacBook with abundant SSD storage and 8GB DRAM is good for use on the go, just wish to have more ports so not need to bring bulky dongles

My wife and I were looking for a lightweight travel laptop and this filled the bill. Not a power house for heavy computing but great for day to day use. Even the charger cord is smaller and does not have the brick style transformer.

Quality you would expect from Apple! More than enough to run Chrome, Safari, and the entire MSFT Office Suite! Problem is the keyboard is so flat and non-responsive so if you are an individual that types more than 65 word per minute or more, you should consider going to the 2017 generation two butterfly keyboard... Most importantly, test it out at a local Best Buy store!

No questions about iconic product as it is proven since years

I want to start out saying that the build quality is very much Apple. The little MacBook is very accessible and very useful for everyday tasks. This is a great little PC, but it feels like it is a very basic tablet or net book. I have found that transferring 30 GB of documents via USB C port takes a very long time, hours, and publishing an iMovie is something you want to start and then walk away from. Multitasking results are variable; multitasking seems okay as long as you are not also watching a video or doing something graphics intensive. I typically purchase a new laptop every 2 years, and this one I can recommend but I will say that with the caveat that I will not be satisfied with this MacBook for two years I am afraid. The keyboard is wonderful and the track pad is still superb. Overall, I do not think this machine is worth the price, the storage is good and the RAM makes it useful, but again for the purpose of this machine I think a i3 windows ultrabook is a better choice.

MacBook is a great laptop. Light weight, slim and fast performance.

the macbook is light and has great battery life. but not enough ports.

returned and upgraded for the MacBook Pro, I didn't even use the 12" only reason was only had one port and was concerned on being able to charge and use the USB port for other devices. I also had a 13" and the 12" was just a little too small. Nothing bad to say about Apple! Great for a college user with little space who needs to put this in a bag of purse.
