It's a great laptop for him as it's very lightweight and has a great battery life. The screen is a bit dated so I do think it's overpriced even on sale and is way overdue for an update but I like the apple operating system and feel like it will at least last him a lot longer than a windows laptop.

My 3rd MAC.

I will utilize external HD for storage at a much lower price point. This unit boots quickly and also has a few USB ports. Great screen resolution.

But the 13.3" display on this great little laptop was perfect for my writing work. Super easy to set up and pairs with all my other equipment. Easy peasy.
