This was a gift and all I can say was I was embarrassed to give it. The computer runs great, can't tell it was used but the outside had dents, discoloration, and scratches everywhere. It looked like someone threw it on the floor and then gave it to best buy. I wish I knew it would be that damaged before I purchased it, now I can't return it.

My daughter has used this laptop almost daily for nearly 2 years. Apple is reliable so we weren’t expecting any issues and didn’t have any.

Runs well, a little bit scratched up, but I just covered with stickers. I actually replaced the guts with 1TB SATA and 16GB. For a little bit of money into it’s a steal.

This was a great gift for a college student and reasonable priced. Completely functional as stated in description online. This allowed the ability to purchase what the individual wanted within my pocketbook limits.

When I first decided to buy a Mac, I was a little skeptical to change to a new operating system completely different than the one I was used to my whole life, that is Windows. I had heard that the MacBook Pro was a great choice for starters like me. The first thing that came to my mind was, why do I want to switch to a Mac if all of my documents, programs, and applications are PC based? I don't want to go through the trouble of finding a compatible version of my favorite game or program. I did my research for months before I decided to buy it. I wanted to be completely convinced that I was making the right choice. I compared it with all these new laptops that were coming out, and read the reviews of each single one of them. I finally went for it and bought this new MacBook Pro 2011. I gotta tell you. I couldn't believe the amazing performance of this machine. I was stunned by its display, fast speed, ease of use, and awesome graphics. I am amazed! I can't believe I didn't switch to a Macintosh before! It is so easy to understand and entertaining to use. I find myself switching from one application to another just for the fun of it. Not to mention the power of the battery. It lasts me exactly seven hours. Now, the question I was hoping I would get an answer. What about my programs that are PC based? Well, I had no problem transferring all of my documents, programs, etc into my Mac. It wasn't an issue at all. This computer comes with a 4GB memory RAM by default. I went ahead and maxed it out to 8GB, which only cost me $100 to upgrade it (bought the memory online and installed it myself -super easy to do). So this thing is even faster than originally...unbelievable. I am so happy I finally made this choice. I highly recommend this computer to anyone, to include those that are used to PC and think that they will never get used to the Mac. Believe me... Once you see how amazing this computer is, you will never look back to a PC...

For the money this was a great buy. If you don't want to pay full price for a Mac then this is the way to go.

Quality product to be refurbished and looked New when I received it . I will suggest to buy refurbished if you can afford a brand new Mac Pro.

The Apple MacBook is an amazing product. For the regular everyday user to the heavy duty programmer or graphic designer the Mac out performs all the rest. There are several very distinguishable features that the Mac brings to the game that will always give it a leg up in the competition for best computer. I will discuss a few of these features that I’ve noticed first hand. First a description as to why I am a reputable source for this review, I purchased my Mac after about a six month stint using a top of the line Windows HP laptop. I am a freelance web designer so I require heavy-duty programs to be running simultaneously for extended periods of time. This is something that I quickly noticed the HP just couldn’t handle. After several days of extremely bad performance I was in need of change for a better more suitable machine. So, I bought a MacBook. The Mac, to me, is unbeatable. My MacBook is the baseline model with a 2.5Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive and Mac OS X Snow leopard. My first impression out of the box was “WOW” it’s so shiny. The laptop itself is very sleek and the one-piece construction makes it quite durable. Upon turning it on you can already notice a huge difference in the speed that OS X loads compared to Windows 7. But the real test was still to come. After about a day I had all of my web design programs loaded on it ad was ready to put it to the real test. I started to work on a current web site job and immediately I could see how much better the MacBook was compared to my previous HP. I had three large programs open with multiple files inside each as well as music playing and a few large files downloading and it was like none of that was even happening, the Mac was scary fast. I can’t even begin to express how amazing the battery life is on this thing. Most Windows machines come with a 4 to 6 hour battery life, yeah, maybe if I’m not doing anything on it. My Mac battery lasted 11 hours even with a heavy workload. It didn’t stop there though; say you have a Windows computer. If you were to shut the lid of that laptop and have it set to not sleep it would probably die within 7 or 8 hours. Not my Mac, I can shut the lid with 20% battery life left and it will stay at 20% battery for more then a day before going down to 19%. This is just surreal. Which plays into how much this laptop costs. My MacBook which is the base model cost me $900. You may think that’s a steep price for a 13 inch laptop but you have to think about what I’ve told you about the superior performance this machine boasts. I think the battery life alone is worth the money not to mention you will never have to worry about viruses using a Mac, and computer crashes are a thing of the past as well. I would recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a powerful and reliable laptop for school, work, or anything else.

Good price of a laptop, no problems so far. Would recommend if you don’t have money for a brand new MacBook

I had a great experience at Best buy when I went to pick up my new computer. Easy to online order, and easy pick up close to my house.

It’s ok but scratched and doesn’t work as good as a new one

Everything is great cosmetic wise, I have had no issues so far with the actually computer itself. Runs smoothly and very fast. Updated to Sierra.

I purchased the pc for my son for college and he loves it. I haven’t used it but as long as he’s happy with it so am I.

I had to stay budget friendly this semester and this was the way to go! I’m absolutely in love with this computer.

My daughter is very happy with her computer. It does everything she needs. For refurbished it is in excellent condition.

Love the computer. It came as a refurbished computer. It was in great shape and worked as advertised. I would for sure buy again.

The battery doesn’t last too long but other than that it’s a solid laptop.

Love the mac book, only problem is that screen is a little messed up but it is refurbished.
