Customers praise the MacBook Pro 13.3" for its strong performance, ease of use, and impressive battery life. Many appreciate the keyboard, design, and lightweight portability. However, some customers express concerns about the condition of the pre-owned laptops received and find the price to be high for the included storage and RAM. A few also mention the laptop can get quite warm during use.

I was excited but when I got it a letter key was off and the L wasn’t working. I gave it a shot though and then I realized how outdated the software was and I couldn’t wirelessly connect to my printer (which I use daily). The next day I took it to my local store who didn’t give me any problems returning it.

PROs:
This thing is fast. Not that much.
Excellent display blabla.
Good speakers.
Excellent battery life.
It is beautifully made.
Backlit Keyboard.
Safari is good.
Camera and microphone work great.
Nice keyboard.
Very nice trackpad.
I love iMovie
CONS:
This thing runs hot. 50C when I'm just surfing the web. 60C when watching videos and such. And 80C while playing games. BUT I'm talking about free minigames I downloaded from apple.com. WTH? And it's not my product, everyone else that I know they have a mac also have this problem. Yes I have smcfancontrol.
Wi fi issues. My 7 year old HP laptop grabs better wifi than this mac. It's actually not a problem, thats the way the mac is. (My friend's macs are also like this)
Mac OS not compatible with MANY programs.
The fan is always on and loud (BUT because I have smc fan control, it reduces a little bit the heat).
Supah over-priced for what this laptop has.
There's no HDMI :(
Not for gaming. Absolutely not.
I would be satisfied with this product if it wasn't for the heat.
I recommend you getting a windows product (Samsung QX411). I personally like more Windows 7 than MAC OS.
And btw. MAC OS LION is SOOO BUGGED! 2 weeks already with this new OS and my mac keeps freezing and such! I would wait a month or two and then buy it, if I was you.
Sorry for my english, I'm a spanish speaker.

Bought this Apple MacBook for my daughter, less than 2 years ago online, for school. Recently, I took it to Geek Squad for repair. They told me that Apple had stopped making parts for this laptop in 2015. If I had known this prior I would never have purchased it. When I told the Geek Squad Tech. this he told me "Best buy does not sell out dated products". Apparently, they do, I was becoming upset with the tech, stating I didn't buy it from best buy. Most of all I'm upset with Best Buy, for selling a product that is outdated. I think I deserve at least a partial refund for being misled, in thinking this was a good buy, esp. from a reputable company like Best Buy and Apple computers

Horrible! I understand that we purchased refurbished, but it wasn’t at all what we expected! There was a chip out of right corner. Space bar was cracked. And the biggest problem was set up time was SUPER SLOW. Unfortunately my son was not a very happy camper on Christmas morning. The next day we ended up going to the store & purchasing new. What a huge difference. Note to self...Spend the extra $$ and make it worth your while

I bought this under the impression that if anything was wrong with it, so I brought the $199.00 Best Buy Geek Squad Protection Plan believing that if something went wrong, the company would accept a return or fix the machine. NEITHER happened. I got stuck with a sub-par MacBook with severe issues. When I brought it into the Geek Squad, they said they could not fix Apple Products despite the fact they sold me the insurance package for the MacBook.

When I bought the laptop, I thought that it would be at least from last year's model. The Laptop was too old and had scratches on the surface. It was much heavier than the new model. I decided to return it and get a new MacBook Air.

This review is for the people who are on the fence and can't seem to justify spending 1,200 bucks on a laptop when so many PC laptops are available for under $600. I went through the same dilemma. It really boils down to 1) security and 2) value of time.
It is Sunday morning May 15th as I write this review. I originally bought an HP G42 Windows 7 laptop for $400 on Thursday thinking I got this laptop so cheap that I might as well have stolen it. Although Windows 7 is a significant improvement over XP it is no where close to OSX (Mac's op system). The HP came with a ton of adware and trial account for Norton Securing which was next to impossible to disable. The unit ran very hot and had a noisy fan. I tried to partition the hard drive and install LINUX to get me a user experience close to the Mac. I spent 2 virtually all-nighters and couldn't get it installed, so I returned it back to Best Buy. I was an already a satisfied owner of a 24 in iMac desktop, so I knew I would be happy once I came to terms of spending a premium price. Is it worth it? YES. After personally checking out this Macbook Pro, I decided to pull the trigger and walked out of Best Buy $1200 lighter. Owning several Apple products, setting up this Macbook Pro was the usual Apple first class treatment. The setup was insanely quick and easy – as expected from Apple. The packaging and minimization of waste brilliant. This Mac has a fit and finish in a completely different stratisphere compared to the HP G42. The keyboard and the feel of the keys, which are lighted, are as perfect as you are going to get. This laptop runs cool and quit and feels very comfortable while typing this review on my bed. The screen resolution and graphics is amazingly crisp, yet isn't harsh on the eyes. The cold boot up time can be measured in seconds. NO CRAZY ADWARE! Just stuff that you really need. All Macs come with iLife pre-installed. If you aren't familar with it, you should check it out at the Best Buy or the Apple Store. Also there is a built-in HD camera. This Mac instantly recognized my WIFI network. Apple's OSX operating system is and will always be far superior to any version of Windows (including version 7). The touch pad and its 2 finger scroll feature is as perfect as possible. It also allows you to shrink and expand page view of text which I found out while typing this review using Open Office. I feel confident that you will be able to use most of the apps without reading the manual – its that intuitive. The hardware is optimized for the software and is built on a rock solid and secure architecture, so you will save time and money trying to configure and setup new software. You will save time messing with viruses, annoying adware and retrieving lost files. The Time Machine backup software (which is pre-installed) is easy to setup and use. For me, life is complicated and time has become very valuable, and this is laptop is one less thing you will worry about.
