it was a little slow and the battery life is really less compared to the air. but overall its pretty good

I purchased a Macbook pro M3 laptop from bestbuy , and it has a manufacturing issue i didn't use my laptop even 10 minutes, it has a speaker issue .When i ask bestbuy to help regarding this issue they are helpless.And not even responding they are trying to repair the laptop instead of new one or doing refund.I handover the laptop 2 months ago but no response from their end. Worst experience, so better not to buy anything from them .

If you are looking to do photoshop/lightroom or any other photo editing apps, I do not recommend to get a M3 chip as I experienced a fan noice, battery draining too fast and the laptop getting heated up. Probably M3 pro is a better option.

Underpowered MacBook Pro. I tried to make some slideshows, most of the videos came out choppy and stuttering. I returned this and upgraded to a MacBook Pro with an M3 Pro chip and slideshows came out great.

I am very disappointed with this purchase. I had to return this laptop to apple twice due to it not charging.

Mediocre performance for the price. Loading times were even slower than expected. By all means I love the aesthetic, but this is an overpriced Chromebook. I ended up returning it.

People are whining about this being overpriced and a bad value, when the laptop it replaces (13” MacBook Pro Touch Bar) with the same 8GB/512GB of storage retailed for $1499. So for $100 more (than the outgoing model), you gain a better mini-LED display with 2-3x the brightness (1000 nits sustained, 1600 peak), higher pixel pixel density (sharper) and ProMotion (120Hz adaptive refresh rate); better battery life; more ports (HDMI, SD) and MagSafe charging which frees up a Thunderbolt/USB 4; better webcam (1080p vs. 720p); High-fidelity six-speaker sound with force-cancelling woofers (vs. stereo speakers previously) and improved Bluetooth 5.3/WiFi 6E. M3 enables hardware-accelerated ray tracing which aids with video editing and provides a CPU performance gain of 15-20% (depending on single or multi-core benchmark). For people crying foul - they literally cut the 256GB and increased the price by $100 for all the before-mentioned upgrades. Best Buy frequently runs sales on these anyways so right now it’s dropped down to just $100 more than the 256GB that it’s replacing. People seemingly want something for nothing and news flash - everything is overpriced - it’s called having profit margins in a product. And if it wasn’t overpriced companies wouldn’t be around because no one can successfully operate a business in the red. Now that we’ve established common sense - buy it or don’t but stop whining about everything, respectfully.

Defective and after lengthy return 2nd laptop also defective.

Wasn’t the greasy unfortunately. I got it a month ago and it malfunctioned. I had to take it to Apple support

Never showed up. Received a box with bubble wrap and paper. Box was severely damaged too.

My 2020 macbook pro with the touch bar is better sorry

5 Stars if you get this laptop on sale. I use this computer for basic video editing, and as a bonus video games like Grid Legends and American Truck Simulator at it’s highest settings with no problems. You still will need 16GB for some AAA games to run right on this machine. Great 120htz mini lcd screen, speakers, and it’s selection of ports makes this a pro laptop. Not to mention an external fan that keeps this laptop from throttling to much. 8GB is enough for me, but if your using this laptop to make money, I suggest you step up to the M3 Pro chip Macbook pro because this a great student laptop, but not so much a perfesional every day video editing machine. However, you can edit 4K videos with no problem, but the speeds to upload videos will be a little bit slower with 8GB of ram. I have no problems with the ram, and I am extremely happy with this purchase, but me suggestion to you is to buy the base model on sale. Again great 120htz mini lcd display, speakers, and port selection makes this a pro laptop with thunderbolt 3. If you want thunderbolt 4 you will have to step up to the M3 Pro chip which gives you an extra thunderbolt port on that laptop.

Picked up an open box return. Was still in the original wrapping and basically brand new. Upgrading from an intel iMac and this thing runs circles around intel based Macs. Excellent keyboard, screen and trackpad. Hooked up to Belkin docking station and 32” monitor along with a HomePod for excellent sound. Would recommend all day long!

I can't speak on the longevity of it but a great laptop. I got mine today and it runs very smoothly and the 8gb of ram is no issue for standard school work/browsing. Keyboard is great and the camera is amazing. Battery is absolutely great.

Excellent Purchase! Computer works as advertised. Migration assistant transferred all files seamlessly. Battery is holding up well.

I bought this to replace my M2 MacBook Air. It wasn't a necessary upgrade, but more of a quality of life upgrade. I knew I didn't need the power of a pro chip - I use my computer for web browsing, personal financial planning, and photography. But, as I'm getting older, I appreciate using larger, brighter, sharper screens. I don't mind the slightly heavier device as I don't travel with my personal laptop on a daily basis. It's mobile enough around the house. I also bought this open-box in like-new condition, which ended up being less expensive than what I paid for the MacBook Air.

This MacBook is quite literally amazing! I love the features and the speed and sleek design. The pickup process was smoother than peanut butter, Thank you Bestbuy!
