So first off this is a great computer. Sophisticated, easy to use, great display, works pretty fast. The MAJOR PROBLEMS? AYE... They took one of the greatest parts of the MacBook away. THE MAGSAFE battery cord. So you know when you accidentally walk into the plugged in cord you don't drag the now $3,000 plus computer with you. So shame on you apple. Next problem? The next gen USB ports. While it's great they are changing for the future and making it more universal, which is great don't get me wrong. It creates multiple problems with USB transfers of old even with the "adapter" which only works to an extent. Certain iTunes and home video saving is also BEYOND frustrating. I nearly returned the whole thing but held onto it and am biting the bullet so to speak and just moving forward. Overall it's a wonderful laptop. Just takes getting used to the pure heartbreak and fear of it crashing to the ground from the busy household. APPLE: BRING BACK THE MAGSAFE POWER ADAPTER AND AT LEAST ONE OLDER USB port please. I would recommend this to apple fiends, but do your homework on all current MacBooks. I urge you.

nothing flashy from apple. performance is strong, the color is sleek. not sure why they felt they should eliminate every useful port so that you'd be forced to rely on a dongle, for that reason, this is likely our last apple product we'll buy. why are they trying to push the envelope in all the wrong spots?

My former 13" MacBookPro was no longer able to accept the newer OS (High Sierra) from Apple. This one has it and is lightning fast. Salesman at the Fair Lakes store was really helpful in deciding which size (I got the 16GB of memory) and what additions to purchase. I'm typing this review on the new computer and appreciating its value. I love the new bar on the keyboard that offers spelling suggestions, slide volume control and the Siri service that allows you to ask questions out-loud and respond or turn volume down and get answers via the screen. WOW! *VERY IMPORTANT: I would recommend getting a USB-Type C adapter - it's needed if you are going to update via your Time Machine backup from your older model with the standard USB connection.

Buying a Mac is no small thing, and this is no exception. The speed of the computer is phenomenal, including load times of the OS and programs within it too. Using the system is a breeze too, although the trackpad shortcuts take a bit of time to get used to. The force trackpad that can be clicked anywhere is also very useful, especially after using it for a bit of time. It becomes hard to use a normal touchpad after getting used to the MacBook’s one! The keyboard is actually very nice to use, even after all the controversy and debate over them. While there is not much key travel, it is still enough to feel satisfying. The best way to get a feel for it is definitely to visit a store with it on display and give it a try yourself.

Great laptop, I love the usb-c ports and the slimmer size. 1 slight down-side is the keyboard doesn't feel nice, however it has reduced my RSI that I have developed from using the 2015 macbook pro. I guess slightly better ergonomics at the cost of some comfort.

Don't purchase this macbook just for the touchbar. I neeeded to upgrade my laptop so I chose the top of the line model but the version without the touchbar would have been a better value. I rarely use the touchbar. I won't want to look at the keyboard while I'm looking at my screen. It's distracting. Just use the touchpad and click. It's way more efficient. But other than the touchbar this thing is fast! I know I'm not even using the i7 to its full potential. The screen is very bright. I think it might be their brightest macbook so far. I love the 4 usb c ports. I can plug the charger into any one of them, whichever side is more convenient for me. If the have money to spend go ahead andget this. You won't be disappointed.

Replaced my previous MacBook Pro after 6 years of great performance. I will never buy anything else! Great intuitive features, speed, iCloud universe makes my life seamless with my other devices. Perfect.

This is my 2nd MacBook and I have to say it's the best yet. Super fasat and I love the touch bar. Especially the fact I can use touch ID now. Love it. Was easy to transfer everything from my old one over.

I upgraded from a 2012 MacBook Pro 13" and I'm in love. My 2012 was getting slower every day and I needed something that could keep up with amateur photo editing and college work. Seeing I already had a MacBook, and have an iPhone, I saw the logical choice is the new MacBook Pro and I could not be happier with my purchase!

I was kind of stuck between this model and 2018 model. But I don’t regret at all I had a 2014 pro 15” and this one is far better in performance and looks. Also very sleek and light for a 15” pro.
