    Definitely Needed for my Mac!

I use a Mac Mini for managing my company. I prefer a trackpad over a mouse. I was using the previous generation wireless Trackpad. I opted to buy this new generation due to its integrated rechargeable battery and ForceTouch technology. I believe I did a very good upgrade to my Mac Mini. Definitely worth the upgrade!

got this along with the magic keyboard with numeric keypad, both as open box items. works perfectly and looks new, just way cheaper than anywhere else. shipping was quick, too. i knew what i was getting so no surprise with the item itself, just very happy about the Best Buy open box option.

Battery last forever, 2-3 weeks. Double tapping is a little sluggish, overall I’m very pleased with this product.

    A nice upgrade

A nice upgrade from the Magic Trackpad, but I don't know if it's worth upgrading if you weren't looking for a new trackpad. For about twice as much, you get a slightly bigger surface and a rechargeable battery (and another lightning cable, wahoo!). The one "new feature" that disappoints me is the force touch, sometimes when I press hard, usually when I'm clicking and dragging, it clicks again and behaves like a double click. Not a fan of that. Moral of my story, if you need a new trackpad, this is pretty good. Don't bother upgrading if your old Magic Trackpad is working fine.

A rewarding "risk" for a wary ex-trackpad user

We were afraid of getting something that looked like our old laptop trackpad because we always ended up carrying a mouse around to use with that one. The Magic Trackpad was an impulse buy with our new iMac and we love it! We are still transitioning, but it seems to have all the flexibility of the mouse and then some.

So Much Better than using a Mouse

I have a corded mouse and an Apple Magic Mouse and using the Trackpad is so much easier. I use it with DAW audio software where using two finger scrolling is so useful. You can't do that with a mouse and the Trackpad is perfect.

There's really no other adjective to describe the Apple Trackpad than what's already been posted or commented on, in that it's the best offer of any device. I purchased this because the price was ideal and it matched my new mac mini also from Best Buy.

I bought an iMac that came with the Magic Mouse. I just couldn't get used to it; It wasn't really thought out very well. I bought this as a replacement, and I'm very glad that I did. It's very expensive for a trackpad, but it works really, really well. Multitouch and force click all work here, and work well.

I love, love, love this touchpad. I had the first version and used it and loved it forever but the annoying bit of changing the batteries out existed. All the same things to love about the first iteration without the hassle of removable batteries.

I love the feel of using this trackpad. I prefer it over my Logitech MX Master 3 Mouse. This trackpad is quite pricey but very good quality. You get what you pay for. It feels natural whenever I am using it and doesn't feel awkward.

The surface of the Trackpad2 is a bit smoother than the Trackpad1. I do not like the increased width of the Trackpad2, it serves no purpose, the TP1 did the same job. The extra wide real-estate on my desk is annoying.

If you like a track pad this is the one to get. The haptic feedback on hard press is great. If you get this for Mac you should download Better Touch Tool so you can program macros for various taps and swipes.

I got the Magic Trackpad so I can use my MacBook Pro with an external display, with the lid closed. This is rechargeable, so you no longer have to bother with AA batteries. It is great for use if you have limited desktop space. My only gripe is that it is only compatible if your Mac is running El Capitan!

This trackpad feels amazing and is actually a nice improvement from the previous generation. The touch surface is a little bigger and in my opinion the click has a nicer feel. It is very smooth and works with force touch and all Mac OS gestures. If you are considering a trackpad, this is the one to get.

It takes up a little more room on the physical desktop but looks a bit cleaner on my desk. Operationally it really doesn't seem to be any more efficient, it does the same things a mouse does but isn't always bumping into objects on my desk as it can remain stationary and your finger does the moving.

this is a great upgrade to the old generation magic trackpad. It's rechargeable so no more messing around with batteries. because the whole surface is force touch enabled with haptic feedback, you can presss on any point of the surface and you will feel a "click" happen. great trackpad
