Charges fast and is of good quality for what it is worth

We have a Macbook Pro 13 late 2011 version and the charger was getting hot lately and the connector to the laptop was acting up. This new charger fixed the issue and the laptop is up and running. Very happy that we are in 2020 and this laptop still running strong. We only upgrade the hard drive for a solid state and now the charger.

As with most apple products, works right out of the box, no hassles, no issues, just plain awesome...!!!

I had the old style magnetic connecting charger. It worked fine until my dog chewed the cable. I was surprised to find out that I could only purchase the newer style that hugs the box more closely. It works great pointed in either direction, but it seems that every time I need the neighboring USB port, I've attached the power in the wrong direction. PEBCAK!

Got it open box on sale and it was basically new. Works great, couldn't be happier.

My wish: To make the thin cord that connects to your laptop twice as thick and more resistant to wear and tear. This is the third replacement power cord I've had to buy in the past year and a half. I tried to take them to be fixed, but that's even more expensive and I'm told by the technicians that it's nearly impossible. I find it frustrating that there is only one product on the market that charges a Macbook... and that it breaks down / melts down / mysteriously stops working so easily. Having to $79.99 plus tax every six months isn't what I consider a mark of good craftsmanship or design. These are for laptops. People have to pack them in bags, take them around town... it shouldn't be made the same as a little thin cord that can sit safely on a desk for years. These cords should be hardier! I travel with my cord in a protected padded bag and still... the light goes out and the power stops flowing. If there was a better product on the market, I would buy it. But since there isn't any option...

Need to power your mac, this is is vital and another brand does not compare.

Pros: 1. The magnetic DC connector design is very user-friendly. I did step on the cord once and snap the cord out of the port for power source, and the laptop was intact. This feature is quite impressive to me compared to the other power connectors in other laptops I have used. 2. Aesthetically, it is visually appealing compared to a regular power adapter. Cons: It is a little bit pricey.

Since there are no other options for this device that I'm aware of, you really have no choice but to purchase the Apple product if you need one. The shape of the adapter is awkward and if your wall socket is a little old, and there's not a tight fit for the prongs, the adapter will easily fall off from the wall. The cord easily cracks after about a year's use (caused by wrapping and unwrapping it around the adapter as intended). The price is too high - but as I'm unaware of any third party options - you have no choice but to pay the steep price.

My MacBook pro 13 chargers a bit faster. And that is important to me.

I have had my mac for a year, and the power supply quit working, I expected to last at least the life time of the lap top

It's a standard apple charger. There's not much else that needs to be said. The original one lasted about 2 years so I'm hoping to get at least that much out of this one. Things are looking good about a year in but we'll see if wire starts unravelling. It's not like we have many options when it comes to charging a mac laptop.

i was given a MacBook that had no charger - i think its RIDICULOUS to have to pay $80 for what amounts to a power cord. I read many reviews on this before hesitantly purchasing since most of the reviews said this item was not well made and did not last. I THANKFULLY have not had this problem (so far). Its done the job I purchased it for. That's about all I can say about it.
