Thank you Best Buy for carrying replacement Apple chargers. I don't know how, but my husband always destroys his phone and computer chargers that come with his Apple products. Best Buy always has replacements in stock so he doesn't have to steal mine.

If it wasn't for the bulky white block of a head near the power tip, this cord would have received a 5. Tip also comes off under pressure and right circumstances...Extension cord is a nice extra option included. Cord itself is soft a bendy which is nice lying across a desk. Very simple and I LOVE the unidirectional magsafe connector. Good product!

I feel that all Apple made chargers are of okay quality. It does not last as long as I would expect it to be due to the skinny quality wiring which makes it look better. I hope that they can find a good quality and good looking/design charger

I live abroad and on visiting states I forgot my mac charger. I had to buy this product as a replacement . It is an original excellent product. Best Buy personnel was so helpful to explain to me chargers options and the best to chose.

As stated above, the MagSafe 85W Power Adapter performs like an OEM replacement should. I like the reconfigured connection to the laptop; it seems like it will last longer. The price you pay for Apple branded replacements...well, you do have to swallow that.

My wife and I each have a Macbook. Hers is a 13" white Macbook from 2006 and mine is a Macbook Pro from early 2007. I have had problems with the chargers ever since we bought them. I actually had my first one replaced for free by Apple because it was the old design that would apparently fray at the end and there was a known defect for that (note that my cord showed no signs of visual damage or fraying yet quit working). Kudos to Apple for that -- even more so because it was just after my warranty had expired so technically I was no longer covered. Since having that first charger replaced for free I can find receipts for at least 4 other chargers and I'm pretty OCD about taking care of my technological gadgets. I have never had to purchase so many chargers for a laptop. The new design of these things doesn't seem to help and at this point I'm pretty convinced that Apple is deliberately manufacturing poor quality chargers as some sort of evil scheme to suck even more money out of their customers. No matter how careful I am with my charger it still seems to fail within a year or so. Fortunately I'm selling my Macbook Pro so I won't have to deal with this much longer. Note: The cashier at Best Buy told me that he has had similar problems with his Macbook charger, but he has the Best Buy protection plan and because of this, Best Buy will replace his chargers for free. It may be worth purchasing this additional protection because it probably costs less than the insane number of chargers you will need to purchase over the life of your Macbook.

Apple makes fantastic products. I don't see myself buying another PC ever. I don't see myself ever buy an Android phone. That being said Apple has the worst chargers across all of their products. They fray and break constantly and then you are charged a premium to replace them.

This is the 2nd time I have had to replace since I bought my MacBook Pro 6 yrs ago. I know that is a long time in computer years, so it was worth buying again, but wish it was more durable for those of us who travel a lot with laptop. Maybe it needs to be babied a little more...?

Bought it to replace my original charger. So far it has worked and I haven't had any problems with it. I highly recommend wrapping the cord the way Apple shows. It'll definitely increase the life of the cord.

I needed to buy a new apple charger for my macbook pro. I have heard the horror stories about buying a non-apple product so I decided to buy the apple brand. The product is great, just wish it wasn't so expensive for just a charger.

Well worth the money for a legit replacement. This works with the 13" Pro and MacBook Air as well as older MacBooks. The wattage is higher, but it works perfectly if you need it.

You can find cheaper 3rd party chargers, but this product is worth the investment. It is stylish, easy to use and looks great. What's more, Apple put a lot of thought into the design.

I was elated that I could make this purchase in BB avoiding a trip to Apple. Surprised they had this power cord which is exactly like the original.

Forgot my laptop charger on trip and was happy to find the right charger at a local Best Buy. Plus saved money because there was an open box!

Somehow my lab pup managed to squirm her way under the bed and behind my nightstand to chew the cord up. Saying prayers she can't find her way to this one!

There are a ton of knock offs you can find online but I'd rather pay the $ for a genuine Apple product and not worry about frying my $$$ laptop.

replacement for my previous one that started buzzing and then stopped working completely. I had it for 3 years before it went bad, which is about the lifespan of my other PC's.

If you have an Apple MacBook or MacBook Pro, all you have to do is place the charger cord near the charging port. Magnetics will do the rest!
