Replaced a 1.5 year old charger. I do not travel with the charger. just seems like it should have lasted longer.

This has to be my 3rd charger in less than 4 years and it sucks! Coming from Apple I would expect better but no, spending $80 for a charger every time is not cool.

I've already used 3 of these, because the wire keeps getting damaged. Apple needs to find a way to make their cables better. It easily gets damaged, and it's expensive to replace.

I love my 17" MacBook® MAC computer, but I'm on my 3rd MagSafe 85W Power Adapter. On my second purchase, as soon as I bought it I put electrical tape on the cord to try to prevent it from fraying and eventually breaking off. The cord still overheated, frayed, and broke under the tape. I'm so disappointed in Apple for not replacing this adapter - you have to wonder if it is just another way to make money - because these have to be placed so ofter for $70 to $80 each time.

This is an overpriced apple product that has already split. I'd suggest looking at some third party cables.

The new design of the power adapter for the Mac PowerBook was completely unusable. it is now designed so the connection makes an unnecessary angle that prevents you from using one of the USB connections! It will recharge your PowerBook but you're restricted from using the USB in the meantime. The previous version went directly into the port. Best Buy was great about accepting my return.

Buying this through Best Buy voids the one year warranty that Apple offers with the same product when purchased through then. So when the product went out aft 7 months, we were screwed and stuck with nothing.

Cord breaks easily. This is our fourth cord. We are hoping this one continues to hold up well.

Just bought my FOURTH adapter. Clearly, at $80 it's a recurring stream of revenue for Apple. The only way to ever not break it, is to put it in one place and never move it. So, basically you might as well own a desktop. It always frays where it connects to the adapter.

I take as much care but this does not last longer than about 2 years. I don't move the charger, the laptop does not go anywhere and still the wire bursts.
