    My old charger shorted out the other day--started smoldering where the wire and box connect. I was a bit worried, because I do all my work on my MacBook. But thankfully, there was no need to trek to the Apple Store--Best Buy was right around the corner! My new charger is even better than the old one (it has a longer reach!). I just wish the charger weren't so expensive--but that's an Apple thing.
