    This power source is sturdy and would take a lot to damage it. Apples magnetic attachment is easy and decreases the risk of damage from accidental disconnections. I only had to buy one because I lost the other. Never had any problems with the cord itself getting damaged.

    This product does the job fairly well the only downside is that whoever purchases another A/C adapter for a mac book will have the same problem with in a few years, The main downside is that the plug outlet bends over time and exposes wiring that casues it to no longer charge. I feel that Apple should at least credit a purchase of a newer one espically if you have had one previously that broke. I only reccomend because there are no other ones made, to my knowledge
