it is really annoying when I ask for a mac charger and my friends say they have the old mac charger. Now I can carry this around in my backpack(super small) and not have to worry about that situation.

Works very well and allows for me to use a power chord for two different generations of MacBooks. The only “complaint” is its size- it’s very small and can become a choking hazard. However, you can’t really fault it for that. The price and quality are very good, and for its intended use, you can’t go wrong.

Cheaper option than purchasing a new replacement power cord. No problems so far.

Instead of buying a whole new charger I use this. Also so small I carry it around with me if I need a charger in school someone is bound t have the older charger and I just stick this on!

I never even knew this product existed, so I have nothing but the highest praise for the sales associate who brought it to my attention. When I misplaced a power cord/adapter I thought my only choice would be to buy an expensive replacement for my MacBook. Imagine my relief when it was pointed out I could use this converter with the adapter from an older MacBook that had the same wattage. Works beautifully! Perfect solution.

I purchased this for my girlfriend to use with her MacBook Air and a 24" Apple LED Cinema Display. It works as described and now can charge her MacBook while having more screen real estate.

i was told by apple that this would not be able to charge my macbook because the charging cable i was using is from an older version of macbook, with a smaller wattage than my newer macbook. despite this, since it was inexpensive, i thought i'd take a chance to see if it would work . . . and it works fine. it seems to charge just as fast the cable that came with my newer macbook.

I had a spare charger, new in box for my 4 y.o MacBook Pro. I left the original charger in an out of state hotel, figured it was gone so bought this one. I was surprised when the hotel (Radisson in St George UT) mailed it to me after my purchase of this one. I sold that computer and got a new MBA. I now have a back-up charger I can use if needed with the new MBA with the MagSafe 2 connector. Spent short money to save $70.00! Thank you Apple and Best Buy!

The power cords are insanely expensive - this allows you to use the cords from your old Macbook, so you can have one at home, one at work or whatever. Since the battery on my Retina MBP can't be replaced by the user easily, it's more important now to keep down the battery usage of the laptop. Just took off one star because it seems a pretty high price for a tiny adaptor.

After purchasing two Apple chargers for macbook air, which turned out to be the wrong one both times, finding this converter was a godsend. Only costing 9.99 plus tax...it was a no brainer. Strongly recommended for anyone who doesn't want to front the extra cost for a new charger which is about $85. Works great no issues thus far!!

Adapter works great with with older charger. Cheaper than buying a new charger.

Nothing fancy about this adapter that adapts older MacBook power supplies so that they will work with the newer MacBooks. This was important to me since I have both older and newer MacBooks and did not want to have to carry both kinds of power supplies. It is pretty small and can be easily lost though so be warned that you might want to keep a spare if traveling.

I wish I didn't need to buy this, but Apple has a tendency to "improve" their products, thereby making you buy extra adapters if you want to use older products with their new "improved" versions. This product works to allow you to use an older power adapter with a newer mac, as described. At least they made a way for you do to this, and it works well as intended.

This product is an excellent piece if you have an older Mag Safe power adapter. This adapter magnetically attaches into the older Mag safe adapter end to snap into the Mag Safe converter cavity, while allowing the thinner side of the Mag safe 2 converter to magnetically snap into your MacBook Pro. * The part is really small, stay aware of it when you're carrying it to and fro, it's easy to lose.

This is a necessary part for the Apple MacBook 15". The port to accommodate the electric is too deep and there won't be a connection without this Apple part.

I was working from home on my work MacBook Pro and my battery was almost dead but left my power cord at home. Luckily I live close to a BB and was able to pick this up and use the power cord from my old MacBook Pro so I didn't have to drive all the way to the office to finish my project. It easily allows you to charge your new MacBook from your older model MacBook power cords.

Anyone with a new MacBook that has an older charger should get one of these. I got two!

After my laptop charger stopped working I thought I would need to shell out $60 for a new charging cable. Bought this, installed in no time and all is well.

I have an older MacBook Pro at home and a less older MacBook Pro at work so when moving from work to home I needed to carry my charger now I can leave the charger in the office and take only the computer with me and plug it in when needed with this adapter. The charging process is a little bit slower (the wattage of the older charger is lesser than the new one)

It's pretty cheap for an apple product; it does its job well with no issues or problems whatsoever.
