After one month of owning my gen 4 Apple TV my son accidentally threw the remote while playing a game on the Apple TV shattering it. After biting the bullet and buying a new $80 remote I invested in this Apple Loop to keep the remote safe from additional accidental damage. The loop is easy to install and so far has been perfect. I just wish the strap came with the Apple TV originally. I recommend paying the $14 for this strap to save from dropping the remote and having to shell out another $80 for a new one.

I was really surprised after purchasing this item that it would NOT work as a wrist lanyard for my iPhone. This would be the perfect device to put around your wrist when taking pictures or video with your iPhone to avoid the risk of dropping your phone near water or high above locations. But it simply will not work! I wish there were something Apple could do to fix this… Then it could be called a universal lanyard that would work with both of their products.
