This is a great cover because it sleeps and wakes the tablet and it also keeps it's thin profile so the tablet does not feel bulky.

This cover serves a variety of purposes. Screen cover, protector, elevated stand, and presentation stand.

This case provides moderate protection, and the magnetic folds let you prop up the ipad on a flat surface. Its a nice sleek case that does the job. If your looking for a case that will protect your device from dropping on the ground then this may not be the choice, but for all normal use and general protection this is the product for you.

Apple had a real chance to make something that would perfectly fit their own product and somewhere along the way they fell short. The backing on the case looks like it would be padded in some way but don't be fooled it offers nothing in the way of damage prevention. The edges that surround the case create an unneccesarily large lip that become extremely uncomfortable when using for extended periods of time. Why they didn't create a smooth contour like just about every other case on the market is a real head scratcher. The biggest oversight is the lack of a simple row of magnets across the back edge of the case so that you could flip over the Smart Cover and have it attach securely and not flop around. With all the "magnet technology" in the iPad itself and how it functions with the Smart Cover why wouldn't they stay on par with Belkin, Speck and several others? Bottom Line: There are simply way better options out there for far less than the $50 Apple is asking for this product.

I bought this cover to protect my new iPad. I found that it does the job to protect the screen. It also protect the body of the iPad against damage if I accidentally drop it. The grey color is also great, because I don't like bright colors. It is a little pricey, but when you pay as much as you do for the iPad, you need to protect it!

Great case for functionality. Offers good protection without adding much bulk

This is high quality product from Apple and you're going to pay a bit for the name brand (as usual). Not to take anything away from the case itself, because it's very nice, with a nice snug fit around the device, and the auto-lock function when you close the case. Because the weight of the iPad, though, when you try to stand it up on the folded over cover, it's a bit flimsy. Other than that, I would definitely recommend it.

After spending a couple of hours checking out all the cases available at the Apple store, Best Buy and one other retailer, I do think this case secures and covers my iPad 4 better than any other case I saw from any other manufacturer. This case is a snug fit on the iPad and encloses it in a nice, non-slip case that the iPad actually sits inside of. There are no gaps in the case on the corners or sides like I saw on other cases. No cheap straps or corner pockets only to hold it in which would just make me worry it would slide out. However, I give it only 3 of 5 stars because of two things I think should have been done better. The edges on the flap that covers the screen should be smoother. They do not touch the screen though. They are on the outside of the flap. They are a little on the rigid side that seems to serve no purpose. (The inside of the flap is a soft material that doesn't scratch your screen.) The other flaw is that there is no way to keep the cover closed if you pick it up and carry it in your hand vertically. A tab and flap closure or something would have been nice to keep the case closed when not in use and when you are carrying it. Though maybe Steve Jobs would have just told me I'm holding it wrong. :-/ I bought this case and then to carry it in a tote bag, paired it with the slim, neoprene HP tablet sized zipper case I also found at Best Buy. I liked these two items much more than some of the pricier cases that were all in one but only used corner or end straps to actually hold the iPad inside the zipper case. Those were convenient only when the iPad was not in use. I found them to be bulky when actually wanting to use the iPad not to mention, once the zipper was open, the risk of it sliding out due to poor attachment inside the case.

I work with events so I bought this case for two reasons: 1. We wanted a lightweight cover to protect iPad since several people would be using it. 2. We wanted a case that would also stand up as a display so we could show photos easily. I am very happy with the cover element. It is very lightweight and easy. The 2nd function is horrible and pretty embarrassing when even trying to attempt to stand it up and show photos.

This magnetic clip makes it easy to take on and off with a bit of a tug. It's light and convenient. I now have one with a back cover but also the same front as this and it's great for standing the iPad up when you want to cook or a slight mount to read.

The iPad fits securilly in the attractive cover. My previous cover was not as well suited to protect the iPad.

Good choice for a cover fits well stays on nice nice protection at a good price

This was a gift to replace one just like it that my husband had worn out with years of hard use. He tried several others (including a leather one that was a gift!) but none worked well for him. This case is lightweight for carrying in his backpack. It easily supports the iPad in landscape position. It's thin enough that it's not cumbersome when he types. When it closes it his iPad turns off automatically, but reopens quickly. He loves it.

The polyurethane and microfiber materials to help guard against damage. The cover doubles as a stand for comfortable typing or hands-free viewing. Overall, it is easy to install and manageable. It's very light which allows you to carry anywhere and use on the go.

Case is think and light weight, barely adds any thickness or weight to the device. Buttons are easily accessible. The front cover provides a tight seal on the screen when closed and also locks the device when closed. Cover also folds to make a stand; perfect for adjusting the angle of the device.

This is a nice compact cover for my Ipad. It keeps my screen clean and is very light weight.

The iPad case is great for protection your iPad while giving you a stand to support your iPad. The cover allows you to easily put the iPad to sleep without ever having to press the lock button. The cover then folds to support the iPad in a variety of ways. Overall Great Product

The sales associate steered me to this cover, and I'm glad he did. It protects all the way around especially the corners. I love the color choices and the magnetic top cover which can be easily folded to tilt the iPad.
